I just used fraps to make a short video in game, then converted it to gif and edited so it looped properly, then resized and renamed it to use the DA:O character creator to upload it.

A female Shepard, Tali'Zorah vas Normandy, Grunt, The Illusive Man, and some girl that I'm not sure of who it is... (she and Shepard were arguing about something when I first saw them... was weird).
