Err, didn't mean to rile anyone up.  I'll just assume to never speak of it again and leave it at that.

Anyhow, I've been thinking... I think it's time I wrote a fan fiction.  I've lurked the thread since 1.0 and posted in it since 2.0 and haven't contributed anything other than a few decent posts and a huge lump of off topic posts.  The only problem is, I can't think of a starting point.

Shepard slid an arm around Tali's waist, pulling her closer to him.  Snuggling up as close as he could, her let his hand wander up and down her back, feeling the many straps holding her suit to her petite form. A small cough eminated from under the covers; the result of a minor reaction from the night prior. Shepard held his engineer closer, feeling her wiggling to bury herself in his arms, beneath the blankets. Finding comfort at last against his chest, Shepard felt her alien toes brush past his. Closing his eyes, content, Shepard gently stroked her foot with his, slowly brushing against her, moving his foot in much the same way a cat slowly flexes it's tail while resting. Shepard smiled beneath the sheets, before the darkness of sleep overtook him. A warm feeling of happiness permeated his dreams that night.

Tali and Shepard get seperated from the team in a jungle. Shepard is wounded and can't move on his own. Tali can't get in contact for a rescue party, forced to survive and nurture Shepard until the search team finds them.

"Start at the beginning and when you get to the end, stop."

Seriously, though, just start writing something. Even if that story goes nowhere, it might springboard new ideas for you, or if you want inspiration; watch some movies, listen to some music, or just keep on hanging here. Something will come if you open your mind to it.

The hardest step in writing, I think, is starting. Once you jump that hurdle, it always seems to get easier from there.
