The Book of the First Tali Thread

In those days, there was no Tali thread. The game was still new and though all who came to BSN knew of the blessed availability of the Quarian, much ignorance remained.

It fell to The Gay Warden to start the first Tali thread. Gay Warden was different from his peers in that he took a long view. It was not enough, he said, to have Tali now, or tomorrow, or even (in our hearts) yesterday. The game was a dangerous place for the Quarian and the eyes of Bioware were upon us.

His message was simple: IT’S UP TO US TO KEEP TALI ALIVE. And how was the average poster supposed to do this? First, by doing so in the game. Send her into the vents only with someone competent, like Garrus, on the outside. Otherwise, keep her loyal and keep her close. Second, by posting and showing love and support on BSN.

The Gay Warden is no longer among us, and the thread has changed many times since, but the message remains.  Tali relies on us.  We rely on each other.

That's wen i feel super-sad because if i write my first Fic it'll be horrible: My english sucks.

Hmm, there's a lot that makes me d'aawww now that I think about it.  It's definitely going to be Tali related.  I don't want to give away the whole plot I'm thinking of, though!  Thanks for the tips.  I think I'm going to keep my first one fairly short.  Maybe if I like it enough, I can use it as a base for a series of fics.  But I'm getting ahead of myself.  It'll probably be awhile before I get this done, what with college and all that jazz.

Also, I know you didn't create the "hero they need" thing, that's from The Dark Knight.  But you are the most frequent user of it around here.

I've had a craving to play this game again, but my anti-fratboy nature compels me to put it back when I do look.

I've subsided with Gears of War 2 instead.

I would be careful about jumping onto an episodic story right out of the gate.  I still haven't finished mine.
