Some people did, but the majority did not feel the same. I do understand though why people would find her romance strange, I know I would be confused if my little sister wants me in ways I can not return.

Yeah, a lot of people really wanted to romance Mission Vao from KOTOR. My thoughts were; "What? But she's like your little sister..."

So they think the same thing to us.

• She's received military training.
• She's seen a great deal of horrors, things that would traumatize others, yet she handles it all like a champ.

Basically, she's an adult, and she's handled a lot of stuff. From that perspective, she's more "hardened" than 99% of the people who have even played Mass Effect. She may have a cute personality, but don't let that fool you; she's no stranger to the darkest parts of life. 

Indeed, but she was always naive about the world in Mass Effect 1 and in Mass Effect 2 her crush reminds me more of a school girl crush than an actual romance. While she might've experienced some things seriously dark and mature, her behavior doesn't change accordingly and still gives me the strange "Little sister" vibe that like she's more of somebody you'd be friends with - not somebody you'd spend your life with.

It feels very different to me...I see Tali's as the most meaningful and deep relationship in the game.
I guess that's why I'm a 'mancer.

Considering the fact that her having sex could get her killed, I doubt that you can call it a school girl crush. As for the "spend your life with part", we haven't gotten that far yet. Their relationship is really just beginning. Give it time to grow.

Just from a developer's prespective, it must be difficult to do, because they have to get the majority of the voice cast back in studio for the DLC.  I mean, it's easier with adding characters like Kasumi because they record her mission dialogue, interaction dialogue and a bit of dialogue for major missions such as the Collector ship and base.

It's all opinions and preferences, really. Most people did not feel the "little sister" vibe, and it shows, too. I just like Tali as a LI more than any of the other women in the game.
