Always considered the knife simply a practical device. Doesn't mean it can't gain significance from events, but its funciton is purely pragmatic. Not everything has to be symbolic after all.
Besides, Gibbs rule #7: Never go anywhere without a knife.

There's a very good reason: its a knife. Knives are useful. Always will be. Cutting, prying, stabbing, the uses are endless.
There's a reason marines still carry around a combat knife.

Knives are one of our earliest inventions and we've kept them around because they're simple and effective. Surprisingly enough sticking large pieces of metal into people is effective method of stoping them.

YES. I finally got Shepard to turn into a quarian without it resulting in either a black screen, or a headless N7 armour.
Rather than the usual "OnTap 1.0 Load -level-" stuff, it requires to be pre-loaded, through the following command:
Bindings=( Name="NumPadFive", Command="Onlyloadlevel BioP_QuaTlL" )"
The results are glorious.
Now, to find Daro's model/Material reference.
Yes, yes they are.

I'm going to get my arse kicked for this but I have to say it:
Tali: Does Mummy love me very much?
Alraei Quarian: Mommy loves you very much...

This. I hesitate to give everything ritual significance. Having a knife on your leg can be very useful thing when you're sent out alone into a world that doesn't have a high opinion of you.Tairis Deamhan wrote...

If Tali went to the Citadel alone, I think she'd be brought in for another round with C-Sec, like in ME1.

Oh, and by the way, I've foudn several material references that should apply to the mesh in BioD_QuaTlL_310AgriDomeExp, however, I have no idea how to apply them.
