Indeed, but she was always naive about the world in Mass Effect 1 and in Mass Effect 2 her crush reminds me more of a school girl crush than an actual romance. While she might've experienced some things seriously dark and mature, her behavior doesn't change accordingly and still gives me the strange "Little sister" vibe that like she's more of somebody you'd be friends with - not somebody you'd spend your life with.
I must agree.

Yeah, but from what I see - most Talimancers actually want Tali to be the happily-ever-after romance ending. Even if it's just starting, I suspect it'll be a happily-ever-after ending for them in ME3 unless Bioware wants to implode.
Is it so wrong to wish for a happy ending? Don't you think they deserve it?
Carried over for legitimate discussion.

Well, in ME1 you need to take into consideration that she recently began her pilgrimage. In fact, she's been on it for only a couple months at the most. So there is a huge amount for her to learn about the galaxy.
And in ME2, it's absolutely not a crush. Consider this; she had a crush on Shepard in ME1 (she admits it in her ME2 romance). Now, two years have passed. A crush doesn't survive for two years. She had two years to put her feelings in perspective, and really put them in focus.
A mere crush or "hero worship" would've died out very quickly after Shepard died.
Tali's romance is vastly deeper and more genuine than the other maleshep romances in ME2. With Miranda it's pretty much just lust and admiration for someone of comparable ability. With Jack it's basically a heavily traumatized woman being treated right for one of the few times in her life.

That's why I think it's a hassle for them to do. If they pull it off, it really shows how much Bioware does for the fans, but the fact that they announced the consideration is really pandering to the fans, it will come off as a betrayal if they do not follow that up. I am actually sure they will, but I will not get my hopes up.Viper 029 wrote...
Just from a developer's prespective, it must be difficult to do, because they have to get the majority of the voice cast back in studio for the DLC. I mean, it's easier with adding characters like Kasumi because they record her mission dialogue, interaction dialogue and a bit of dialogue for major missions such as the Collector ship and base.

Yeah, a lot of people really wanted to romance Mission Vao from KOTOR. My thoughts were; "What? But she's like your little sister..."
So they think the same thing to us.
But, Mission was 14, Tali is, what? Ten years older? Big difference there.

Just to comment on that, isn't that the logical expectation? Why would a fan of a romance that's focused around true love expect or want the relationship to not end happily ever after?
At the end of ME2, Tali trusts you completely to the point where she is willing to risk her life to be with you. Shep is fluid, but on a playthrough romancing Tali, its within reason to think that he would feel closer to Tali than anyone else. The relationship has a strong base of friendship and trust, why would we expect it to fail?

Some people did, but the majority did not feel the same. I do understand though why people would find her romance strange, I know I would be confused if my little sister wants me in ways I can not return.Dave of Canada wrote...
I don't see the romance in Tali, I always see her more of a little sister figure.
lol I'm sure that last line helped a lot. Fact is, Tali's way too hot to be thought of as a sister![]()
So they think the same thing to us.
The thing is is that Mission was 14 years old. So even though I thought she was sort of cute she was in the danger zone, so she was definitely a little sister type in my opinion.
Tali on the other hand is a definite young woman, even though she is a bit unworldly in some ways in the first game. In the second game there is no way you can argue that she's anything other then an adult with adult responsibilities.
