That's why I think it's a hassle for them to do. If they pull it off, it really shows how much Bioware does for the fans, but the fact that they announced the consideration is really pandering to the fans, it will come off as a betrayal if they do not follow that up. I am actually sure they will, but I will not get my hopes up.Viper 029 wrote...
Just from a developer's prespective, it must be difficult to do, because they have to get the majority of the voice cast back in studio for the DLC. I mean, it's easier with adding characters like Kasumi because they record her mission dialogue, interaction dialogue and a bit of dialogue for major missions such as the Collector ship and base.
I feel like Cerberus network already shows how Bioware wants to give back to the people who buy their games (buy it new, not used). Having new weapons and armor is always nice, I must say. I had no problems with the Firewalker, it was a free DLC with different gameplay mechanics. It was a new feel, and I welcomed it. Kasumi's DLC was pretty amazing. Bioware could definitely pull off DLC with the cast and crew, but I am keeping in mind that they're already working on multiple games and might not have time for major DLC packs.
Maybe with a preorder for Mass Effect 3 you can get an exclusive Mass Effect 2 mission that ties into Mass Effect 3 and will have consequences. And that mission will be released the first month of 3's release, free of charge. Preordering means you wouldn't have to wait a few days, get the Mass Effect 2 DLC and go back into Mass Effect 2 having already started 3.

Well like I said, I think of Tali as a maturing adult, she is still young, but she is learning. Tali comes off as much more mature in ME2 than in ME1, but she still is young. -redundant statement-planguy wrote...
The thing is is that Mission was 14 years old. So even though I thought she was sort of cute she was in the danger zone, so she was definitely a little sister type in my opinion.
Tali on the other hand is a definite young woman, even though she is a bit unworldly in some ways in the first game. In the second game there is no way you can argue that she's anything other then an adult with adult responsibilities.
What I do find strange are the fans who go; "Tali was an adorable little sister in ME1, and I lover her for that. Romance in ME2? YEAH!"
So you would jump at the oppurtunity to romance your little sister?
That is weird.

It doesn't bother me, just making an observation is all. A couple of them have been trying to troll this thread for almost a week now. Kind of sad.

But, Mission was 14, Tali is, what? Ten years older? Big difference there.
Unfortunately, a lot of people don't really think quite as much as they should, before they let their thoughts manifest into the physical world.
They look at mission, and observe she's an alien female, has tech abilities, and is younger than you, and automatically go "OMG HER AND TALI ARE THE SAME THING"
When in reality, they're vastly different characters, with different personalities, forged by different upbringings.

Do you guys think that Tali gets, like, really tempted to try out non-dextro-amino foods?
I'd imagine so.
I doubt it, it would at least pale in comparison to her desire to try solid dextro food. The impression that I got was that levo and dextro food was exactly the same, only difference being chirality. Why would I want to try a steak that's exactly the same as I eat now, except it would be flavorless and make me sick?
Now if all I could eat was vanilla pudding, I would be very tempted to try steak.

The cheerful, spunky non-romanceable Tali from ME1 or the annoying, clingly fangirl-Tali from ME2?
It's like BSG. She comes in reserves.

Now you're thinking on a marketing-scale. So far, all the free DLC has been nice, I actually liked Firewalker, too, it cost me nothing but the download time. The only DLC we have had to pay for was 'Stolen Memories' which I also really enjoyed, I felt the price was worth it, the Alt Appearance pack however is something I can wait on. If they do this romance pack, it will most definetly be a paid DLC, but with all that it may be granting, it will sell well, just look at the demand. But about the pre-ordering bonuses, I think it should only apply for ME3 and not content for ME2, because for one; there is no guarantee how early it would be, and because people will fight for it.Viper 029 wrote...
