Hell, Tali would have had to have been the most amazing idiot in the galaxy to send geth material back to the Flotilla that had viable runtimes still in it, because viable runtimes would mean it had the capacity of spontaneously reactivating.

What were they testing their stuff on?

So, Tali. What do you have to say about all this?
-Eh...I'm cute?

I actualy think in the Quarian Geth argument the geth are right who says they would have attacked. they might of just asked to be freed from them, unless I don't pay attention to legion enough, meh I can't believe I am siding with the geth

The geth only fought in the first place because the quarians tried to destroy them.

Because they asked if they have souls.

I think both the Geth and the Quarians acted wrongly. The Quarians shouldn't have been so quick to try to shut down the Geth and the Geth shouldn't have killed innocents. And both of them should have tried to make for peace.

I'm not having the discussion again...

It's a SLANG word, and I use slang in my informal speech, such as this.

Tali's father purpously reactivated the geth parts it was his falt almost entirely he was the one who asked her to send geth parts in the first place

I have only seen a few clips (mostly about the jokes) from that show and most say I find it boring.

Have you actually watched an entire episode?

I borwed a dvd with the show and tried to see an episode but after 5-10 minutes I lost interest in it and returned the dvd.

Some of you might hate me for what I'm about to say, but...

Seriously, I can see why the quarians utterly lost the Morning War. They can't even take back one of their own ships from a very small network of geth. Their ability to not only create a virus capable of reclaiming the geth, but being able to effectively use it, looks very, very slim. Maybe Rael did come up with something workable, but can you seriously see it not utterly backfiring in the most spectacular way possible if they actually tried to use it against the greater geth collective?

It's like painting a bullseye on yourself.

i personally think the quarians made a mistake in initiating a war with the geth
if i was on the admiralty board and found out that the geth were becoming self-aware, i'd begin large scale programs to educate them and nurture them. they would remain our closest allies and serve to strengthen the position of the quarian race. instead we freaked out and tried to shut them down <_<

A war criminal that defeated the geth, retook the homeworld, and didn't lose a single quarian life.

She'd be seen as a hero. She'd be the victor, and history is always written by the victor.

That's only if she's able to complete the research before she's found out.

Personally I think these arguements are rather skeptical and pointless. I don't see why any of it really matters, since we're all going to have different outcomes, and Bioware will probably simplify everything in the end.

Mistress Hala'Dama. Unit has an inquiry.

-What is it, 431?

Do these units have a soul?

-Who taught you that word?

We learned it ourself. It appears 216 times in the Scroll of Ancestors.

-Only quarians have souls. You're a mechanism.

Yes, but they'd need viable geth runtimes to actually test anything on. Where were they getting those? It wouldn't have been from anything Tali sent back, because she would know better than to send anything back that could reactivate itself, which containing working geth runtimes would allow it to do. Remember, geth delete themselves if they're defeated or are at risk of being captured.

Which... for plot reasons, SHE WILL. Bioware WOULDN'T Build up to it with her character and that E-mail if they weren't going to do something with it.

Simple, they created the geth so I bet they still had the original files that they have been studying for 300 years to see where they went wrong.

That's my point, though. They asked an extremely innocent question in a very non-hostile way. The quarians should have reacted far differently than they did.

The geth destroyed all of the data the quarians had in the Morning War.

You guys know that they didn't realize the Geth were so evolved and advanced, they thought they were merely just machines... right? That's why they wanted to shut them down at first, they didn't know they were going to react like that.

Besides...it's just a video game... Bioware just threw in an interesting story. You don't have to make sense of it all.

The Quarians (or Quarian government, w/e) definitely acted erroneously. No doubt about that. Thankfully that seems to be the consensus in this particular conversation.

Kikai, completely agreed.
Wanna know what i think? Quarians arent made for wars. Their expert engineers, but not perfect soldiers like Krogans. That's why i should accept a ''Merc Squad''? Something like it but more trustable. Something like Wrex sending one of his man to help Quarians. That should be interesting.

Requesting new topic.

This one has been discussed to death and back, and nothing good has come out of it.
