Well like I said, I think of Tali as a maturing adult, she is still young, but she is learning. Tali comes off as much more mature in ME2 than in ME1, but she still is young. -redundant statement-planguy wrote...
The thing is is that Mission was 14 years old. So even though I thought she was sort of cute she was in the danger zone, so she was definitely a little sister type in my opinion.
Tali on the other hand is a definite young woman, even though she is a bit unworldly in some ways in the first game. In the second game there is no way you can argue that she's anything other then an adult with adult responsibilities.
What I do find strange are the fans who go; "Tali was an adorable little sister in ME1, and I lover her for that. Romance in ME2? YEAH!"
So you would jump at the oppurtunity to romance your little sister?
That is weird.
I think you are getting a bit caught up in semantics, here. Obviously Tali is not Shepard's little sister in the game. They didn't grow up together so they don't have any of the baggage that would come with such a situation, like the westermarck effect. If people have referred to Tali as a little sister type I think they are more likely describing how she's sort of like a childhood friend type. Sort of not an immediate attraction but something that developes after they know each other for awhile. Well, it developes on Shepards side, at least. Tali was into him from the start.
