If Shepard doesn't intervene they exile Tali. Tali! Probably one of the most dedicated members of the fleet!

The real kicker is that the rest of the quarians allow this, and entire fleet and an outsider is the only one willing to stand up for her.

You ever rally the crowd?

What ME2 romance are you into then? don't say real life because you and I both know you can't get a date if aphrodite helped you.

I suppose you already know I'm against Miranda...

I for one refuse to believe that anyone is not against her, They just humor her really.

You complain about the romance feeling rushed and sudden, but when you think about it, all of the romances in ME1 & 2 feel rushed. Any complaint of a romance being rushed applies to all romances in the ME universe, its just the nature of the game. The same thing happens in movies, books, tv shows, etc all the time. As for the timeline that they court each other, that's all speculation. You say a month, but it could have been three, maybe even more. Saying that it was only a month in each game just serves to try and make your point seem stronger through subjective speculation. As for Tali's jump from normal to "lovesick fool", death is a funny thing. People tend to experience things like regret, an example being "I regret not expressing my unspoken feelings for Shepard before he died".

Indeed. Death has a curious way of reshuffling one's priorities. It's perfectly within reasonable limits that two years of grief and loneliness after Shepard's death would cause her to suddenly confess her love for him.

They don't exile Tali, the admirals do. The admirals are just trying to use her trial as leverage for each of their political agendas.

And really, why would the rest of the quarians fight their decision? Geth did  take control of the Alarei, and she did  send geth parts back.

Obviously, she isn't responsible, but the circumstantial evidence against her is strong.

The point is that they need Shepard to convice them to stand up for her, and even then only two people speak out for her.

Two!

I'm curious as to why you view ME2 Tali as such Arcian

Personal preferences, definitely.

Mainly, I think it was pretty OOC for her to admit having had a crush on Shepard since the events in ME1 when there was no evidence to support this in the first game. I.e, it was poorly handled. Of course, this was just BioWare trying to shut the fans up.

In my opinion, the best "romantic" relationships play like opposite-gender BFF-friendships that take years to develop. First of all, Tali and Shepard haven't really known each other that long. Maybe, what, one month in ME1? And another month in ME2? Not uncommon in fiction, but then again, there aren't very many fictive relationships that are impressive. The best I've seen was perhaps Adama-Roslin in BSG. Now that was a good and believable romance, and it took 4 seasons = 3 in-universe years to come to fruitition.

And secondly, Tali jumped from romantically oblivious to a crazy-eager, lovesick fool in the space of one timeskip, during which Shepard was inconveniently dead - barring any kind of friendship development between them until the next time they met. It seems a little bit jarring - but then again, BioWare just decided to pander to your demands and didn't care about the details.

It also pisses me off that you treat her solely like a romance character when the only reason she is, is because you b*tched and moaned about it for the 2 years ME2 was in development. Everything you do here is discuss romance, or how juicy her hips are, or post the same frakking pics over and over again.

Take fanfics as another example; how many fics are there where Tali isn't romantically linked to someone and having said romance as the prime focus? Next to none. Originality tends to be a little thin after the Nth fic, too.

This is all just madness. If you're so gorram lovesick, go out and meet somebody and stop defiling Tali's character.

TL;DR - Talimancers like the romance and therefore they suck.

OK, you'reanother one of the minority who absolutely cant stand Tali either becuase you've never liked her or whatever reason a silly thread like this offends you somehow, ok great for you.

Tell me, did we come into your threads and ****** in your cornflakes or something?  Find it creepy that some people here have a scary obsession with Tali?  What is it?

IMO, I always liked Tali, from the moment I recruited her I always liked her, I romanced Liara because Ashley is 12 kinds of ugly (thats my opinion) and was always nice to Tali, then I get ME2 and I go browsing some forums and lo and behold theres the news, "Tali is a romance option for a male Shepard", I was immeadiately intrigued and gave it some thought, but in the end I romanced her and I have to say, I thought it was the best romance in the game for a male Shepard, Jack's was a very close second and Miranda is uh...one night stand, thats pretty much it.

You're also getting some facts wrong, if you give it some thought, though it dosnt seem like it, ME1's story probably was the span of several months, not one month as you claim, in addition if you talk with Tali and you actually pay attention, there is a subtle undertone of Tali having feelings for Shepard, culminating in Shepard giving the Geth data to Tali, and the joy and happiness in her voice definitely implies she has feelings for Shepard.

Also you're forgetting to factor in how long it has been BEFORE Shepard's death at the beginning of ME2, it could easily have been several more months before his death and during that time, he could have grown closer to Tali friendship wise, so that easily gives an explanation of how Shepard and Tali could have become very close friends and during that whole time, Tali's feelings for Shepard continued to grow culminating in her becoming a romance option.

Hell if you LISTEN to her romance in ME2, she STATES CLEARLY that she has been watching Shepard for a very long time and was too nervous to admit it until then, so that little arguement of your goes out the window as well.

In the end, get over it, the people here like Tali, the same as people like Garrus and Mordin and Miranda and other ME2 characters, it just so happens to be that Tali is quite possibly one of the most popular characters IN Mass Effect, if you're gonna get butthurt over it, that's your problem but don't come on here spouting mindless drivel without getting your damn facts straight. :wizard:

When you talk to Qwib Qwib he does hint he had known Tali really had nothing to do with it, but does it for the progression of his agenda.

Alright, so I guess it's a common complaint that people who like Tali complained and got what they wanted and this is considered horrible. I don't see the problem? I don't think that good folks at Bioware would have completely discarded their artistic vision of the game just to please "whiny Talimancers". They heard a vocal section of the fanbase and how much they liked a character, said to themselves, "Huh, so that's what they like? Yeah, that could work in the story." and then they put it in. No big deal.

Maybe Bioware already just know what we want and create it years in advance... Then release it when they think they could make the most money off of us! =O

Opinionated post commencing(besides most dialogue)......You're telling me they gave Tali the most dialogue, the best loyalty mission, the best romance, all because 400 dudes decided to makea  thread called Tali Love?

I don't buy it.

Yeah I know, I even said the admirals were using the trial to support their views. My point is, the entire quarian people can't be blamed if Tali is exiled, it's the admirals who are at fault. And they can't really be argued with, because no one knows exactly what happened on the Alarei, if the evidence is kept secret.
