What's up with your eyes? Do you have tapetum lucidum that reflects back light? Some kind of bioluminescence?Does your mask simulate the appearance of eyes? etc?

It's important to note that these are aliens, they don't need to follow every attribute that mammals typically have. Hell, Asari are pretty much humans with tentacles, and they don't have hair.
Course not, never said they did;) In fact, there are prolly few to none that follow all of the characteristics of mammalian species, since they all developed in different environments on different worlds. They may have some, but not all, which would infact make them something unique, not mammals.

I agree with Azint. I want Quarians to be look like aliens, not so much like humans like the Asari. We already have the Asari, as Azint said, as the near-human aliens, we don't need another, I want something unique. I don't think hair would necessarily tip them over to too human, though, but I don't care either way. I just want them to look unique. That doesn't preclude them from being attractive. Attractiveness is not the most important thing, anyway. As for hair, there are ways to have something analogous to hair but still isn't hair.Azint wrote...
But the thing is that quarians are aliens, there needs to be something more than just different limbstructure to detract from looking human. My belief is that they should not look too human, or else we may get another asari race, the asari are supposed to appeear the most human-looking race, the quarians should not appear too human, or else it would be contesting the asari. The batarians had it find because other than physiology, they look very alien, four eyes, weird noses. Simply adding hair does add a lot more to the human image than most people would think, that is why I am not so sure that they should have hair.

I wouldn't say that wearing the suits is likely to hamper hair growth. Too many variables there. We don't know how quarians may grow hair differently than humans, we don't know that the suits would be restrictive to it even for a human, maybe they're even made to accomodate it.
I would still argue that with a few small nuances (ears, eyes, skin,) a Tali with hair could look alien enough, especially when you factor in the differences we already know. That's all preference though. My worry about getting rid of hair is that it isn't a small change. That's going from human-like to completely alien, to the point that some people may be repulsed. Asari have hair like ridges that ease the transition, quarians just being bald will make them look very alien, not slightly.
You could go the other way and give her a lot of hair, who says that the suit would prevent the quarians from being a furred species?

Its down feathers. You've obviously never seen baby chicks.
I have, but I'll admit I'm not an expert on birds. My original intent was to find a picture of a Thecodont, an extinct reptile, which according to some people had mammal-like characteristics including hair. However, all the pictures of thecodonts depicted them without hair, so rather than concede the point, I shamelessly substituted another animal and hoped that no one would call me on the idiocy of my statement.
