I think "realistically" Tali is probably several inches shorter than Shepard.

It's just in the game, everyone is the same height due to technical limitations. In-game, her model is identical in height to Shepard's (jeanluc confirmed this when he imported their models into Maya or whatever it is he uses... and comically, their exact height is 15 feet, lol)

Well everyone is between 5'9 and 6 foot (besides the volus and non-recruitable characters) , all the female LIs are about half an inch shorter than Shepard. It's because of the game engine.

Shala'Raan is just as tall as Tali.
