Is AI that don't trust. And if "spat fireballs every hour" would have been detected by EDI.sergio71785 wrote...

Trust is an important part of a relationship. No matter what's in there, she can handle it with your help.
I trust her, I just don't trust what's in there.
For all I know, that vent could belch a ball of fire every hour or so.
I know we'll never agree on this. No matter what, I'll always just kinda see it like sending my bomb squad engineer girlfriend to disarm a bomb, instead of a the bomb disarming robot.

Sergio, you CAN see what's in there. When you hit the first vent, you can look up and see her standing there. It's like a hallway, and she's standing straight up and then you hit the button and it opens and she keeps on walker. I figured she was in a tight shaft crawling around, but when I looked up, I was pretty surprised at how simple this "infiltration" vent was.
You don't make the choice right there though, when you can see the vent. You make the choice while you're still on the Normandy, going off nothing but the intel gathered by scans, of the mysterious alien base no one's ever been to before.

Sergio your failure to notice the commitment Shepard makes with Tali when he chooses her to go in the vents. You're treating her like a delicate little flower and fact is she's there for the mission not to be your house wife.
It's a partnership. Sending Tali into as much danger as Shepard and having her trust him forms a more special bond than if you don't trust her.
If she were the only person that could handle it, I would send her, because I'd have no choice.
But that doesn't chance the fact that legion is simply the more logical choice. He's a machine, he can handle extreme temperatures better (though that isn't reflected with gameplay mechanics), and his computer brain can hack millions of times faster than any organic operator.
Or can Tali effectively out-hack the collective geth?
Think about that.

Neither of those things is true in the game. Tali's hacking skills are pretty amazing (Kasumi's too, for that matter) since she can hack at the same speed as a geth platform with 1100+ runtimes.sergio71785 wrote...

The ship hasn't been there for an hour though (well, I assume).
The fireball comment was just an example that there may be factors we're not aware of.

Funny thing, if Tali and Legion are both equally capable of hacking that terminal, there is an interesting conclusion; Tali is just as good at hacking than Legion is.sergio71785 wrote...

Legion is a geth collective, connected to the entire geth race, all networked AI. Tali can match the entire geth race at technical tasks. Tali is awesome.

Trust me, my opinion will not chance.
And yeah, within game mechanics, Tali/Kasumi/Legion hack at the same speed.
But realistically, Legion would be able to crack into and manipulate other computers far faster. There are just some things machines can do faster.
My computer can calculate a million digits of pi in 20 seconds, for example.

Agreed. Tali doesn't wanna be a house wife. "no no, Tali, stay here, ya don't send a girl in to do a robot's job hwa hwa".
