Sergio your failure to notice the commitment Shepard makes with Tali when he chooses her to go in the vents. You're treating her like a delicate little flower and fact is she's there for the mission not to be your house wife.

It's a partnership. Sending Tali into as much danger as Shepard and having her trust him forms a more special bond than if you don't trust her.

If she were the only person that could handle it, I would send her, because I'd have no choice.

But that doesn't chance the fact that legion is simply the more logical  choice. He's a machine, he can handle extreme temperatures better (though that isn't reflected with gameplay mechanics), and his computer brain can hack millions of times faster than any organic operator.

Or can Tali effectively out-hack the collective geth?

Think about that.

A contest, I say! Legion and Tali to see who can out hack who!
It'll be just like John Henry and the railroad spike driving machine!

. . .wait. . .Henry died at the end of that.

CONTEST OFF! CONTEST OFF!!!!!!!

Funny thing, if Tali and Legion are both equally capable of hacking that terminal, there is an interesting conclusion; Tali is just as good at hacking than Legion is.

Legion is a geth collective, connected to the entire geth race, all networked AI. Tali can match the entire geth race at technical tasks. Tali is awesome.

Indeed. See my above post.

In fairness, Legion isn't connected to the geth overmind during the suicide mission.  Or really much at all while we see him in ME2.  He's just 1100 whatever runtimes.

Exactly, sergio is pretty much saying "I value the geth more than Tali".

1,137.

Still, an organic being able to match a synthetic at something like that is no small feat.

And yeah, within game mechanics, Tali/Kasumi/Legion hack at the same speed.

But realistically, Legion would be able to crack into and manipulate other computers far faster. There are just some things machines can do faster.

My computer can calculate a million digits of pi in 20 seconds, for example.

Good job, Tali feels bad now. You won't let her do important things to prove her worth.

Wait. Is he really connected to the entire race?  Doesn't he not have to get Shepard's permission onboard the Normandy to use the ship to boost his signal to access the rest of the Geth, when you ask him about Upgrades?

But Legion still has the same knowledge they do regardless, he just has not connected with the rest of the geth since the start of the suicide mission.

I understand where you're coming from. Legion can do it, why send Tali in? I'm telling you she still survives unharmed and your relationship is stronger. Why can't you see that that is better than benching her because you're scared?

Same reason i wont read any story from canned either, 'cause you guys have fun in making Tali suffer or even die.
I'm not saying i just read the fluffy stuff, i enjoy a good drama as much as comedy or some thrilling story, but that's not the case.

He is not.  If he dies during the suicide mission, it's pretty clear that he's trying to upload himself and can't.  It's kinda horrible, actually.

Hey, If I'm the commander of a mission, I need to care more about making logical choices than emotional ones. A machine is better suited for some jobs, thus I make that call.

Besides, she proves her worth plenty with every collector she kills alongside me, every time she drains harbinger's shields, and every time he gets that bastard to stand still with her drone. :police:
