Some of my more recent work.

From what I can tell, you like action-scenes and a wide diversity of colours.

A scene where Tali faces off against a small army of geth, damaged (but not badly -- visor crack at the least), while the Normandy looms over-head, as if Shepard is watching the fight and rushing to her aid.

His stuff seems more personal and immediate than that.  Most of it looks like the pic is dominated by a one or two characters.

Well... I try to keep it simple... I'm still learning the basics and fundamentals... got to get as much practice as possible... seeing as I'm hoping to go to art school soon...

"still learning the basics and fundamentals..." (Insert string of vulgarity here)  How I wish I could draw or paint or whatever.  Yeah, I can chew through statistical information like a beast, but how much fun is this:

Not very.

I didn't mean me in general, I mean the first time I click a link and found that site and spent forever browsing it. :pinched:

Did you read the Mass Effect page?

Tali is four different kinds of badass.

I counted.

I contributed quite a bit in the Mass Effect page, character page included.Image IPB

Then I owe you thanks. Tvtropes is a useful site and owes it's usefullness to it's contributors.

I appreciate that... but the first thing an artist learns is that you're never good enough, no matter what you do.

Especially if it's how you plan on paying the bills one day.

So, would I be the only one that hopes they work the character-creator a little differently in ME3?

I created a Shepard that I finally thought looked good and after sitting through the unskipable cut-scenes I discover that he has these MONSTER cheek bones. It's like he's storing food in them for the winter.

I had to quit, restart, and sit through it all again to make a new Shepard. This one looks a bit better, but somehow his head came out a little too small. . .

I looked at it a little differently.  If I'm Shepard, my sadness would come as I was flying towards the planet.  I know there's no way I'm surviving this.  If my whole life is flashing before my eyes right there; why didn't I tell Tali about my feelings, why didn't I stand up to the Alliance about the reapers, etc.  Then waking up would be a blessing to me.  The fact that its two years later would be bad, but isn't that kind of like saying that you wish you won a 100 million dollar lottery instead of 50 million?

You know, I was kinda wondering what he was thinking as he made that final (but not really) drop.  I was actually thinking he wasn't giving up, that he was trying just one.more.thing to eke out any last chance of survival.  I like to think that whatever he did right there at the end contributed to his body being intact enough to salvage.

I've always likened it to falling out of an airplane.  You can try to do something as you land, but its most likely futile, and you still have a lot of time to reflect on things before it gets that far.  Obviously I have no experience in that situation, so I don't know if Shep was thinking of specific things he could do then, or if it was the stereotypical life flashing before your eyes thing though.

Although I'm not really sure what Shep could have done differently.  I always assumed his suit and its defenses were the reason he was meat instead of dust.

Why can't they set it up like Elder Scrolls IV did.  You make your character, and then play through the intro-level.  When you reach the end (in ME2, upon finding Miranda) you get a chance to adjust your character in any way you see fit.

Hate say it, but if they won't allow Fem-Shep relations with Tali, I may become a XenMancer. :)~

It's hard work being a troper. But seeing how much people like it and take their word for it shows how useful it is. Tvtropes is the neutral, unbiased, "truth" to the work it cites.

Even the memes are updated frequently.Image IPB

Or at the very least let me have a 360 view so I could have caught his apple-sized cheek bones.

Sheploo is the name for the default Shep appearance.  I think he looks fine, have never had the urge to fight with the character creator B)
