This is going to come off sounding fanboyish, but the mixed feelings comes from Tali always having the best lines and stuff like that.  Its all opinion really, but you can make the best case for Tali being the canon romance, and her romance and loyalty mission seem to have more effort put into them than the others.

On the other hand, she gets no marketing, there's no merchandise for her, and she's the easiest to kill on the suicide mission.

And the trailer was only showcasing the women of ME2 I believe.  I don't think there was any specific mention of those being romanceable characters.  People may have assumed, but that's different than false info.

Um, she's one of four to have figurines at this point, I think.

Honestly, I'm not up to date on any merchandise stuff.  I was going off the quote a page or two back saying that Tali has no official merchandise in the Bioware store.

Oh, right.  BW doesn't do that stuff.  It's DC Unlimited or something.  Here's a preorder link.

Her feet look kinda fail.  God, why am I always pointing this crap out?

I hope she will be on the cover box art for ME3 that would bring a big smile to my face

I will admit, one other thing besides romance DLC I'd like Bioware to release is statistics so we can see who really was the most romanced character. Tali may have the largest internet fanbase (I've noted that even on boards other than this one, Tali fans represent a loud minority, if not even outright majority.

But that's the Internet crowd. What about the casual gamers? Then again, most of them probably didn't romance anyone (too eager to fight than to talk to teammates long enough to get a romance).

Casual gamer plays one playthrough = Miranda or nobody

Casual gamer who becomes fan of the game = converts to Talimance.

Don't ask me why, or I'll give you the answer in one word.

I have made the point in the past that any ME3 cover with Tali embracing Shepard will result in a complete resetting of my man points to 0

In other words, I approve

In fairness, quarians might not even celebrate birthdays.  Not everybody on earth currently does.

Casual gamer who does one quick playthrough will ignore Tali and romance Miranda becaaaaause:

Bewbs.

Then, just like in real life, after you get to know someone for more than 15-20 hours, you start to see through them, see their real selves. I actualy liked Miranda when I first played...found her loyalty mission intriguing. 3 playthroughs later I actually listened to what she was saying instead of staring at her vertical smile B) and found out she was actually pretty dumb..and b!tchy.

Same with ME1, I didn't like Wrex right off the bat, so I avoided him. Then couple playthroughs later I build up the courage to talk to him (my Shepard was very scared of him) now he's my 3rd favorite character.

I could see it being likely that they don't celebrate birthdays.  Quarians don't really seem to care much about personal possesions/gifts, and they don't seem like they would go out of their way to celebrate a trivial event.

That said, they would still have a birth date.  And we really should know it so we can get the super mushy scene where Shep surprises her with a present

About the only thing we actually know they celebrate is a kid's first suit.
