They were all spread out, though, weren't they?  Some ice-mining, some orbiting a gas giant or something.  Captain Kar'Danna or Kal'Reegar or somebody talks about why they're where they are.

Thus we have just the liveships clustered with their escort.

I don't remember hearing that, and I talked to everyone before and after the trial, multiple times!

Even if they are spread out, it seems like there should be a lot more than the number of ships you see in the cutscene. I can't imagine the Flotilla spreading out their ships so thinly, and it makes sense that liveships would always be heavily clustered around.

I wasn't happy with how they showed the Flotilla in ME2. It seems to me it should be a *lot* denser. Come on, 15000 ships! Should've kinda looked like that Reaper scene at the end.

I believe those ships were on patrol duty.

Hey, why do you think quarians enviroment suits mimic geth in appearance? The mouth light thing does look like the geth flashlight heads.

Perhaps it's just a common design aesthetic?

That, and the speaking light is necessary.

Think about it, if the quarian's can't see eachother's mouths, how would they know who's talking in a crowd?

That is actually a very good explanation I didn't think of before. Pretty practical.

what i want to know is... why the colored  visors ?... what happens if they run in to a lightly colored purple enemy?

tali: i dont see any thing shepard!!

shep: OH GOD THERE FLYING EVERY WHERE AAA ARRAR--------

tali: since when could you fly?

You mean, if why would they color their visors, making everything look purple or blue?

Think of the Visor's as a two way mirror, they can see out just fine, but others can't see in. It makes sense for them to be that way, in a culture where you're cut off from the world, after so long, it would be natural to want to hide your face, except for those rare opportunities where you trust someone enough to let them into your "personal space", via air linking or mask removal. If you look at Tali's mask when she takes it off, you can clearly see there is a HUD and as such it probably actually ENHANCES her vision when it's on. It's stated in Ascenscion that this is the case.

they are a bit different scenes

in the flottilla one you kinda approach to one ship so is kinda a close view, the reaper one is made to show the powerfull reaper fleet that is going to invade the galaxy in me3

i suppose we will have better views of the flottilla in me3 as i suspect that quarian will engage the reapers at some point

Pretty sure it's there.  Shep asks something about "what are you doing way out here?"

I just hope in ME3, we get to see the Fleet beat the holy hell out of a Reaper.  ME2 didn't have any good space battles.  (And no, flying laser eyes are not "good".  Garbage! Garbage I say!

I'm sure the Fleet can take out a Reaper... probably a few Reapers really. They have so many ships, and Reapers don't seem to have any kind of area of attack.

But, even fighting a single Reaper would cause immense loss of life among the Quarians. :(

Quarians really shouldn't be fighting the reapers personally anyway.  I love them and all, but they suck as warriors.  I can see them working out just fine building and repairing ships that, say, krogans could use to reak havoc.  We're going to need engineers, and there are more than enough of other races to fight.

Because it's "off".

A heads up display would be dependent on sensors that monitor eye movement and facial muscles to work properly anyway, and taking it off my cause it to "power down" any digital display put on the mask.

Well, all Reapers do is show up every once in awhile and CLEANSE THE GALAXY of life.  Sure, the quarians have the numbers, but they have no combat experience... (Last major war was with Geth, 300 years ago).  They could pull a Russia and just send wave after wave, but they are so afraid of losing people, I don't see that happeneing.

You know considering Tali talks about how her suit can "lock down" like a ship, allowing certain parts to be protected while other things are exposed for surgery work, or whatever, I thought Tali would be likely to keep a lot of herself covered up during physical intimacy. Accept for the parts of her that, you know, wouldn't be covered up.
