I'd imagine that some gunpowder weapons would be kept as family heirlooms,
or that they would be especially prevalent in the 20th century back waters that still exist on Earth.

Especially AK-47's.

It would be cool if shepard could use a modernized, upgrades, and heavily modified AK-47. The kalashnikov will never die according to historians.

It wouldn't be practical to put a mass accelerator into a weapon designed to use gun powder.

It would take a LOT of modifying... like you need the top engineer to do it.

Let me put it this way:

1) Mass Accelerator weapons and Chemical Firearms don't work the same way.
2) A chemical firearm uses energy within the cartridge to propel the projectile.
3) Mass Accelerators use energy from the weapon itself.
4) Mass Accelerators have more in common with crossbows than they do with conventional guns.

You can't "modify" an AK-47 into a Mass Accelerator weapon. It won't work.

If you don't understand then maybe you should just drop the subject.

Not really. You can make a complete modification... but it wont be the same as the actual ak...

You would end up making a weapon that looked like an AK-47, except not really because there isn't enough space in an AK-47 to house a mass accelerator large enough to propel projectiles the size of a 7.62 x 55 round.

What you're implying is very impractical and probably not worth it.

A mass accelarator Emulation of the 7.26 x 55 round wouldn't be worth it for research.

Why do you feel old? It's not like there's twelve-yeear olds...

People who roleplay as 12 year olds most likely...that's why I feel old. I got into one of the most immature PM arguments I've ever had..and it was with someone who was exactly my age.

Getting aggravated because I keep finding more things to touch up on Tali's texture.  

It'll be done tonight, I'm 100% certain, but I'd be lying if I wasn't a little annoyed at how complex her textures are <_<
