One day maybe 100 you notice lots of spam, though, yes? That's where I use selective reading that I learned over the past month and a half. Can't read a book for the life of me, but bloggin's easy!.....Andaius20 wrote...

Keelah Se'lai!
It's not so much about dedication, it's about numbers.
Most people seem to think that Tali fans are generally more obsessed than other fans, and from what I've observed at other LI threads, it's not the case.
There's just a lot more of us. It's Bioware's fault for making Tali so awesome.
I think what strikes me more than the sheer vastness of talis fanbase is how you guys can keep track of a conversation in here with all the traffic.
your forum fu need to be strong I agree. when in one day 500 pages can pass!

I suppose it's possible that within the ME universe his synthetic parts may give him longer life; that's generally the case in sci-fi. But realistically, I do believe what he went through would shorten his lifespan.
EDIT: To clarify, when I say "break down", I don't mean like it dissolves it. I mean it softens it to a point of like being really weak or breaking.

*Shepard's cabin prior to entering the Omega-4 relay*
Tali pounced on top of Shepard, pushing him into the soft matress excitedly. Their lips met, and Tali suddenly felt wildly self-conscious. She had never kissed anyone before in her life, and she was certain that Shepard likely had. What would he think? How would he feel? His lips felt soft and warm as they slipped into her mouth one at a time as they slowly kissed. His thick stubble bristled against her soft skin, but she cherished the new sensation. Shepard's hand carressed her cheek, inciting a muffled moan to slip from her mouth. She nervously drew herself back in embarassment. " Ummm ... how .... how was that?" She mumbled bashfully. "Was it ..... you know ...... alright?"
Shepard lay perfectly still for several moments, his eyelids closed, his lips still puckered slightly. His eyes opened, glazed peacefully. He noticed Tali staring at him curiously and he shook his head, drawing a quick breath. "I'm sorry ... what ... what did you say?" He whispered, dazed.
Tali grinned warmly.Tonight would be a night to remember ...

I also don't think Shepard will reach that 150 max.
The guy's been through a massive amount of stress in his life. Not to mention, I don't think that the Larus project did his lifespan any favors.
Think about it. Between how many beacons and mindmelds with like 3 insane asari, and his death, and the vastness of stress that would be on him in so many situations. Headbutt a krogan and he's still strong willed. He is Shepard, but after he's inactive, it will catch up on him.

How much of a lifespan decrease are we talking about here? 5 years? 10 years?

Maybe, maybe not. If they proprietary parts built specifically for him, there won't be replacements.
If there are replacements, then we have to assume these parts are available to the general public, and are already a factor in that "150" number.
