You underestimate racism. It seems more than likely in my eyes. The galaxy mistreats quarians at every turn. Sexual exploitation doesn't seem like much of a stretch.

That's pretty extreme, Commander.

Perhaps. Things like this, imagined or not, only make me that much more sure of my devotion to help the quarians every chance I get.

I would rather Tali live than for her to die and to see her face.

Obviously, the person who had the game spoiled for them would choose this option.

But think about it, if you avoided all media prior to the game being released, and you thought she was pretty much screwed either way, would you choose to see her face? It's pretty much fish-bait. You take it, she dies. You don't (which, admit it, is unlikely.) she lives.

Most of us (hopefully) I think have "hair" pretty low on the list of priorites. We just want Tali in ME3 as a recruitable and LI and blah blah blah you know the rest.

Well, yeah, that first and foremost...

You
know, I used to argue for a more alien approach, but what little we can
see of her face doesn't really support it.  And, honestly, the rest of
her is pretty alien when you get down to it.  That's enough for me.

What
do we from what we can see of her face? From the mask we can only infer
nose and two eyes. If you mean the concept art, that's concept art and
not very detailed. I just don't want them to be like the Asari. It's
perfectly possible for them to be more alien yet still attractive, if
that's what you care about.

Please, Collider,
there's no reason to be that way.

What we can see of her face is
generally humanoid, no less so than the asari in the facial region.  The
smooth outline of her nose doesn't suggest anything radical like
scales.  And then there's the description in ME Ascension.

I'm just saying I don't want recolored humans. We can have stuff like facial markings to make them less like that.

The cult haircut was a bit unsettling.

Having an odd problem... for some reason, with the exception of what the people write, this entire site is written in German.  Since I can't read German, if someone could tell me how to change the language (what to click), it would be much appreciated.

Fornax deals entirely with alien porn though. I really can't imagine racism being much of an issue among them.

Humans are also the least likely race to go out of their way to pick on Quarians specifically.

A thought, a scary thought.

Scince people seem to agree there should be a choice in having her show you her face, think about this scenario.
---------------------

(Consider this entire scenaro un-spoiled for you, as you avoided all ME3 media before the game was released to not have any of the game spoiled. Goddamned trailers. :pinched:)

You have to make a choice.

Tali is wounded pretty bad during the final fight, she asks you to take off her mask.
If you disagree once, she starts to yell at you to take off her mask for a final kiss. (This would be a lure.)

If you say no a second time, you aren't rewarded with seeing her face, but she makes it back to the Normandy for medical treatment, and survives.

If you fall for the lure, and take off her mask. You are rewarded with seeing her face, but, the removing of her mask sealed her fate, and she dies.
(You can just re-load, but if this scene was unspoiled for you, you'd probably finish ME3 without her, not knowing of the outcome of the other option until you finished the game.)

... On second thought... if bioware did this, I'd be pretty pissed.

That is BRUTAL.  I love it.

It's not, most humans are racists, for them aliens are animals (just listen to Ash, Prestly and others), exploitation of quarians is something i think most humans will do.........and on second thought, let's just leave the humans to the reapers, do they really deserve to live ?

By that logic; Fornax is a betsiality publication. Good job, you bought a magazine about animals in erotic poses.

Humans aren't that bad. Hell, there are terrible people from every race. Can't judge by the lowest denomonator.

Besides, Presty changed his ideas after being around Tali. He learned that human's are not really alone and the alien races aren't bad after all.
I think he's a great indicator that the universe can change for the better.

As I said, a publication like Fornax is unlikely to engage in such foul practices. But it isn't impossible that things like this happen out in the Terminus Systems, for example.

The quarians are disliked about as much as the humans are. There is some distrust but the quarians aren't brutalized either.

No no no no!

Choosing between seeing her face and letting her die is just too cruel and painful.

No no no no no no!

Bad. Bad idea. Awful. Don't do it.

Well, yeah. I'm sure all kinds of terrible things happen in a lawless place like that.

F*** you, Council. The Quarians shouldn't have been kicked out.

Exactly..and a good ending obviously. But beyond that, nothing will change your Talimance. No matter which end of the spectrum of "alien looks" Bioware decides to go with concerning Tali's face, whether she has hair or not, pale white skin or purple, etc, or even if they decide not to show it, it's all miniscule. That's why I made the sig

About this subject...one of the reasons why Tali loves Shepard is because he treats her like an equal. A lot of the galaxy hates Quarians. And when on the Flotilla, Quarians hold her a higher standard simply because she's an important admiral's daughter. But Shepard? Even being human, even being a spectre, even being the hero...he still treats her fair and kind. He's her best friend!
