Yes, since Liara isn't there in the debriefings, Tali talks instead, and Ashley's like "you're not shepard, shush," and you have the option to tell Ashley to speak for herself.

Is there an option to reach over and smack her upside the head, cause. . .that's the one I want.

Don't know if I'll every play ME1 again, but if I do, I'll hold out getting Liara so I can see this.

. . .Wait. I need Liara so I can get that last squad achievement. CRAP! <_<

What matters more, defending Tali from the space-racist or achievements?

I don't really care about achievements myself. I'll get Quarian Ally and move on.

The Paragon/Renegade Scale of Mass Effect
The active squadmates go through a check in who is placed on what side of the spectrum; the more paragon character is more inclined to tell you what a paragon choice would be, and the more renegade character counters them. Specific situations are handled by this scale as well-- shooting Saren's corpse for instance will be done by the renegade character.

The scale from Paragon to Renegade:
-Liara
-Kaiden
-Tali
-Ashley
-Garrus
-Wrex

I rather like Tali being at the center. She's ten million times more interesting than Kaidan and Liara.

It's like getting Punk'd. . .expect you die.

But you also don't have to be around Ashton Kutcher, so. . .maybe not so bad, after all.

But if he was around, he'd get caught in the nuclear blast.

I need to pitch this idea as a show to someone.

By Mass Effect 2, every character has a set personality. Some are inherently more paragon, others are more renegade. But this is better written I thought, for instance; Garrus will always be inclined to kill the unjust, but he is more compelled to save people rather than kill the bad guy.

And this isn't altered by how you spoke to him in the first game?

I. . .I . .I don't know. I. . .I love achievements. The sound they make when they appear, the points, the way my gamerscore rises, the way I can look at people and think of how much better I am then them.

But. . .Tali is. . .Tali! She's. . . .she's a goddess, an image of perfection, she is everything that is good and right with the world.

I. . .I think I need to go lie down. I. . .I need to do some serious soul searching, here. . .

He acts the same, the only difference is a few dialogue lines.

It's by what you do with Dr. Heart.

If you let him live Garrus is more Paragon, kill him Garrus is more Renegade.

Do what I did and don't bring him, Garrus remains in the middle.

Tali is usually nice and kindhearted, Legion sees no reason to be a renegade character. But he does suggest keeping the Collector Base at the finale.

You weant after Heart, but didn't bring Garrus.

Really? It's like a loyalty mission before there was such a thing.

He does? That's a rather poor decision on his part. You can't trust Cerberus with that base. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Cerberus members get indoctrinated.

They already did. Hence the thousands of husks Shep and Tali had to heroically battle together.

-Citadel, Council Chambers -- The Reaper battle, Saren's death-

*Tali pulls out a pistol and shoots Saren in the head, to make sure he is dead*

Liara: He is dead.

*Tali pulls out her knife and begins to cut Saren's head off*

L: Tali?! What are you doing?!
Tali: What does it look like?
L: But... why?
T: He deserves it.
L: Um... commander?
Shepard: Liara?
L: Tali is... um... acting a bit weird.
S: Why? What's going on?
L: She's... um... cutting Saren's head off.
T: Ahah! Got it! *holds Saren's head in triumph*
L: Are you feeling alright, Tali?
T: I've never been better! This is going straight to my father as my Pilgrimage gift!

Phew. Okay. I wasn't thinking clearly there for a minute. You're right, as a Talimancer, I must put our quarian princess above all else.
Therefor. . .I pick Tali'Zorah. Now and forever, I pick Tali'Zorah.

Those husks were just random humans, weren't they? No thing has gotten through the relay in one piece aside from the Normandy and the collectors/reapers.

I was referencing the derelict Reaper. Seems likely the tech in the base could be just as dangerous.
