The only character that really needs to come back is Jenkins. As a zombie. And he needs to be a romance. And Shepard has to die halfway through the game and Jenkins becomes the playable character.

But really, id love to see Liara back in the crew.

I can't speak for others, but I'm just fascinated by the effects that this character has on me and on others, although she is so "handicapped" and on the first look might be the least favorite LI, but in fact seems to be the favorite, at least for more hardcore gamers.
