Hey, this was one of my crazy dreams alright. Mass Effect is permanently infused into my brain, so there is always some aspect of it in my dreams, good or bad.<_<

I wonder why you get crazy dreams and I spend more of my attention to ME than probably anyone in here and I get nothing.

I'd hesitate to read too much into "garden."  I mean, there are rock gardens, desert gardens, etc. that aren't quite so green.  We don't know what quarians consider a garden to be (though at least we do know that some of their vegetation really is green).  It's a poetic name, but I take it to mean that the world is in isolation against the outside universe, rather than putting the emphasis on "garden."

I want to emphasize I'm not really arguing for any specific vision of the planet.  I just want people to open to a wide range of possibilities.

Honestly, I don't really expect that the Reapers actually save the galaxy by stopping advances races from using mass effect fields which destabilize stars. It would simply be too anti-climatic. 

Plus, if that were there reason, it would be very simple for them to explain. Sovereign's lines on "you are incapable of understanding blah blah" implies it doesn't have anything to do mass effect fields messing up dark energy.

Hell, the entire concept would be provable via a mathematical formula.

Isn't the raytracing engine seperate from the modeldata?

Well logically, nothing can be forever.  Eventually, all of the races in Mass Effect will die out.  I'll take the slow decline of society over millenia over a quick smoothie ride to a soulless eternity.

Even if we doom the galaxy a couple hundred thousand years later, thats still preferable.

I tell myself that they wouldn't close off the setting in such a final fashion, so they could continue exploiting the IP.  Sometimes that helps when I get worried.

Yes, the model is a separate thing entirely.

I'm just saying, if you wanted the textures to look EXACTLY like I have them now, you'd need Final Render and 3dsmax 2009.

If you just wanted me to bake separate diffuse, specular, glossiness, reflection and normal maps for the 4096x4096 textureset I could do that.
