It's not just the speed rate. Most of the time you can't have a decent conversation and you get trolls and annoying people posting annoying pictures every single day. :lNightwriter wrote...

I suggest choosing other character threads instead of joining the Tali group in my signature. Your call though. I like the Miranda and Garrus threads particularly.Nightwriter wrote...
I guess you're probably right. Sometimes I just want to beg the thread to slow down. Pages go by so fast, it's kind of hard to talk to people. A lot of your posts get buried.
Other threads? Is this one really that bad with the speed rate?

I have to take my leave once again.
I let you something to read before leaving.
I am selfish too
Late at night when she was alone, she would cry herself to sleep,
dreaming of a familiar human commander who would be with her, showing
how much he wanted her and loved her. In these dreams she felt like she
never wanted to wake up. In the end, when it was morning, she always
woke up alone.
Opening night drowned her in her illness once again; the pain that
always locked itself inside her bones. When her eyes opened, she was
afraid of plunging again into the obsidian terror, with not a soul there
to break her fall.
Until one night.
As if Keelah heard her pleas...
"Tali? Are you alright?"
She opened her eyes.
He was here. Was he looking after her?
"Yes...I...I am fine."
He smiled, a beautiful and honest smile full of concern.
"I am relieved...Looks like you don't have a fever anymore."
"F-Fever?"
"Yes, the doctor told me you weren't feeling well, I was concerned so I
came to see if you were alright and I took care of you all the night."
He...He did...what?
"I...see. Thank you."
She didn't know if it was the fever again but Tali felt her cheeks
burning and her heart soar with joy.
"Well, you seem fine now."
What?
"I will take my leave."
No.
Oh Keelah, N-No.
"I'll see you tomorrow Tali."
Before he could leave, Shepard felt someone forcefully grab his arm. He
turned his head until he was face to face with a weeping Tali.
"...?! Tali?"
"Don't leave..."
She doesn't want to be alone again. She doesn't want to feel unrequited
love again.
"What do you mean 'leave'? I-"
"Do you yearn for her?"
"What? Who?"
There was no turning back.
Suddenly her throat feel dry and her hands uncontrollably shaking.
"Miranda..."
The name sounded vile coming out of her mouth.
"Do you yearn for her? Do you...like her?"
"Of course I like her, Miranda is my friend, why wouldn't I like my
friend?"
A small, nearly inaudible sigh of relief escaped her mouth.
He heard it anyway.
Tali...
Without thinking, slowly, he took off her mask.
She didn't object to it.
His thumbs skim her cheeks and trace her jaw, leaving behind buzzing
nerves and a desire to touch him back. Her hands fly to his waist and
clamp into him possessively
He chuckled softly.
"You can be a selfish woman sometimes."
She tried to figure out the right thing to say, but nothing came
out...And she was forced to look away like a child caught in an act of
mischief.
"But you know what?"
She looked back and he kissed her.
It took her completely off-guard.
Into the kiss she could taste everything, his desires, his fears, all
the love he beared for her.
It felt like heaven.
"I am selfish too."

Speech completed. Posting now, even though war is apparently over.
We are the heirs of a great legacy. Our lineage has streched longer than that of the others around us. We must persist in mantaining this great line, even in the face of those who challenge us. We are the true Talimancers, and we will hold the line against those who claim a false right to that lineage. In any battle we fight, we will win. In Tali's name, we can never fail.

@thread: I've seen it in the other female love interest threads too, but seriously, if I wanted to see suggestive pictures I could easily find it on the net, I don't need to here. Though I'm pretty sure my words will be wasted. Alas...

Depends on the person. I can sift through the posts and have intelligent discussions regardless of the time. The thread doesn't usually speed up past 6 minutes per page. Its a lot to sift through if you constantly type up long messages, but nothing unmanageable.
Sometimes you get unlucky and the thread speeds up too much, but that doesn't happen often. I would suggest hanging out for a while and see how you like the thread. Best to make your own judgements.
This is actually what I do. Whenever I visit this thread I turn off images in firefox. It pains me to know the images are being posted in the thread to begin with, though.Phil725 wrote...

Why not just block the images you don't want to see? Its as easy as right click > block images from... on Firefox.
The thread moves way too fast for a conversation to hold. I don't blame you guys for that though, just the images. I've had wonderful conversations with Pauravi and a few other people when the thread has slowed down.I still think you're overstating the difficulty of having an on topic discussion. It has to be a topic that people online can, and want to talk about, but there is almost always a person or two on to bite on an interesting topic. The trolls and pictures is stuff that needs to be ignored. If you can't ignore it, then yeah, probably best to try a different thread, there isn't much we can do about those things.
