I literally spend like 45 minutes before I start a file trying to make a character that looks like me.
Kind of sad, I know.  But they always look so much more handsome and dashing than the default.

I never have a hard time making a character that looks like me. I just give him messy black hair, a tan, and a goatee. Bam! Instant Sergio.

She just came out like 5 hours ago, of course there is gonna be hysteria for her right now.  Once it isn't the new thing, Kasumi will slide back down to Samara's level.  A character that some like, and may have romanced if possible, but doesn't have 1/10th the following of Tali.

I figure, let Kasumi enjoy her time in the spotlight.  Tali is still there for those that don't care for her, and will still be there once people have moved on from Kasumi.

The way I see it, Mass Effect is more of a 3rd person narrative than most other RPGs, so I don't really care about customizing Shepard. Plus the male model they used for the default Shep is a better looking guy than anything I'll make.

Not necessary.  The Talimancers are above these petty threats.  Fly by night characters are not worth our time or worries.  If I was a turian councilor, I may even be tempted to finger quote
