Agreed. I wish Tali would say something about that. Or if she'd say something after the asari bartender says "nobody alive can remember what the quarians looked like under those suits" then the camera switches to Shepard and you see Tali on his right and I'm likeNuclearBuddha wrote...
The Ilium cure has got to be some kind of joke or quackery. How do you "cure" being a volus? They breathe ammonia and can only survive under extremely high pressure. I can't imagine a therapy for that.
I hate volus edit: The only cure for being a volus is an armor-piercing round.
That's when Shepard glances at Tali then looks away when she sees him
Not sure why they'd advertise a quarian "cure" on Ilium anyway when the Flotilla isn't allowed anywhere nearby. You'd think any quarians on Pilgrimage would be too poor to afford something like that.
I'd still contend that Shepard knows exactly what quarians look like before Tali reveals herself. I will never be convinced that with photography, the internet, and a race around that was alive when seeing them was commonplace, no one knows what they look like. I'm sure finding out what quarians look like is as easy as googling it.
The only people who don't know are us <_<
and dont forget he had the Mordrin book... he indeed knew how quarians are under their suits

I never got this whole theory about the quarians not accepting Shepard because hes a human. I just don't see any evidence for this in the game for the quarians being racist against other races. Now you take Shepard, someone who's a galactic hero, who reclaimed their homeworld for them on top of everything else? They'd be building his statue out of dead quarians by that point. Would you maybe have to deal with an idiot every once in a while? Sure, there are idiots everywhere. But I don't see how Tali and Shep couldn't lead a perfectly happy life on Rannoch.
And I'm led to believe that Tali can indeed get used to Shepard. They make the point of saying that the first contact is always the most dangerous, and that the immune systems start to adapt after that. While I doubt that it would ever get to the point where it was risk free, I could easily see it getting to the point where the biggest danger was cold like symptoms.
I wouldn't put much hope on that thing in Illium. That place is all bs, just looking to make money. Sci-fi sketchy facts or not, you aren't letting a volus live out of his suit. I would assume that place actually has a 100% mortality/failure rate. Not my kind of place

I agree. Shep knew, at least in a general sense, what he was getting into.Phil725 wrote...

Yeah yeah, Shepard's a real bloody hero, the quarians like him, big deal. I'm sure many quarians thought they didn't need Shepard's help, didn't want to go to war at all. Not to mention there are quarians who are split between going to war with the geth and recolonizing, you're going to ****** people off no matter what you choose, right?
Say Shepard saves them all either way and they have no reason to not like him, Shepard has to become a quarian to live on Rannoch, right? I read about this somewhere..

I think we're forgetting that Rannoch is not a miracle cure. Tali says it would still be 60 years of therapy to get out of the suits even there.CamoBadger wrote...
I think if they lived on Rannoch, he and Tali would switch roles, sorta. He would have to eat special food from elsewhere, while Tali could actually eat food from the planet. She would still need to be in her suit, and Shepard likely would need one as well, so they would both be stuck in a suit...
