People a century and a half ago said powered flight was impossible.
People 75 years ago said spaceflight was impossible.
People 50 years ago said computers would never hold more than 1GB of memory.
People 25 years ago said the idea of a "world-wide-web" was impossible.
People 5 years ago said that Lehman Brothers was a strong stock to invest in.

And now they say Tali is impossible?  **** scientists.

There's no-way to be certain. We've only seen so much of our own solar-system let alone the rest of the galaxy.

I won't lose any sleep if Tali loses that poll, but the fact that it's a poll by an anti-tali troll would make it just a tad bit sweeter for her to win. <3

Btw, it looks like the next one Zaeed is going to be the 'popular' one.

Sorry have to jump in for this line:

So who should we hit next, sergio? "Name your target, and it will die!"

go to the polls section and vote for miranda tali is really close to catching up

Whoa, that's not good

(VOTE FOR MIRANDA)
http://social.biowar...120/polls/4848/

The reason I say to vote for her is that her and Tali are very close, the one with the highest amount of votes die. Voting for someone else wouldn't really accomplish much, we gotta ensure Tali lives.

I agree with that idea.  You can tell people are either hating on Miranda because she is a ****, or Tali because they are jealous.

It would be less obvious if the person who made the poll hasn't trolled here and other threads before.  The intention of the poll is to drum up constant hate for Tali, and create an atmosphere of character bashing towards the others in response.

Most of us are above that, but it will still get spammed here constantly, leading to pointless bashing of characters while its still up.

totally agree, lets everyone enjoy his fav char rather than to go with these hate/stupid pools
if Tali get "eliminated" then nothing bad, she will be out of that crap Image IPB

Who was most voted in the first 2?

first was jacob (of course)
second (morinth)
now it looks like either tali or miranda is the next to go but with are huge fan base we could probably win:devil::devil::devil:

We would need to target one chararcter at a time otherwise our votes would be spread too thin

so today its miranda. getting tali to win this is a heavy risk...but the priiize!

i say we go for zaeed next as he seems to be third in place

That depends on when America gets it's ass back in gear.  They just cancelled the manned Constellation mission to return to the moon, and then to mars, to concentrate on ROBOTS AND UNMANNED PROBES.  Dammit!!

And No:

Russia: Far too poor to do anything until Putin finally gets up the 2nd USSR.
China: A possibility, but I dislike Commies.
European Union: Too divided, never tried for manned-spaceflight.
India: No chance in hell: http://beta.thehindu...ticle398070.ece

Which is why I love science.

It's about finding the truth buried in truth, about guessing, finding out if you were correct, and moving on from there.

Science is great. The one thing I dislike though are scientists who say this or that is impossible. Impractical maybe, but impossible is such a... a wasteful word. And it's not one a true scientist would ever use. Too limiting.

Nothing amazing ever got accomplished by calling it impossible.

Because in my dreams ships are unreliable and fall apart mid-flight 80% of the time.

Some kind of radical technological discovery will be necessary. For even a single atom of matter to accelerate to light speed it would require an infinite amount of energy, which of course cannot be achieved. And lightspeed is actually pretty damn slow for galactic space travel.

Basically, we're going to need to discover some way of warping space-time for it to ever become a reality.
