DEAAAAATHH. No it's just something us Medievalists hate hearing.

Truth be told, the Dark Ages weren't as dark as they're portrayed by popular conception.

I thought they were normally portrayed as being quite fun? :D

Not quite, there is geological proof that there was massive drout and was much colder than usual, which caused much of the plants to die which were not use to the seasons temperature at the time. As well as ash that surounds the entire world during htis time period which would account for a global decrease in sunlight.

Well, if you stay angry enough, rage will sustain you.

Rage is a hell of an anaesthetic.

I disagree!:

Zaheed glared at nothing in particular,‭ ‬his eyes alight with contempt.‭“‬Rage can be a hell of an anesthetic.‭”
His comment was followed by silence,‭ ‬until Tali let slip a slight giggle.‭  ‬Zaheed turned on the quarian,‭ ‬getting within inches of her visor before yelling,‭ “‬What is so funny‭?”
Tali fought to remain composure,‭ ‬but a second giggle broke burst from her voice modulator.‭  ‬The grizzled mercenary that stood in front of her nearly shook with anger.‭  ‬Finally,‭ ‬she collected herself enough to respond.
‭“‬You were shot.‭  ‬In the face.‭ ‬And rage kept you alive‭?”  ‬Taking a step back,‭ ‬she dismissed that hypothesis with a wave of a three fingered hand.‭  “‬My people have a word for that,‭ ‬Zaheed:‭  ‬Bosh'tet.‭”
‭Zaheed was fuming now, his damaged eye twitching with rage.  Tali, however, wasn’t done.  “And, if I remember correctly, the Council have a reaction to a claim such as yours.  They dismiss it.”
Upon hearing this,‭ ‬even Shepard could not hold back a chortle.

Well, depends on who you were.

Corrupt nobleman? Hell yes.

Knight? Hell yes.

Catholic Clergy? Heaven yes.

Surf or Peasant? Not so much...

Serfs and peasants could be rogues though! ^_^

There weren't any dragons to slay or dungeons that weren't in use by the corrupt noblemen. :bandit:

Population control? Just do like the quarians. One kid per family and send the rest to a colony on Mars. Well, not exactly like the quarians, but we don't have a space fleet. Yet.

The Chinese tried to do that, and they have over 1.5 billion people now.

What's worse is that 80% of them are male.

They are just called 'Dark Ages' because there is nearly nothing known about this age... no historic reverences, no ruins... just nothing.

I guess it was the time, were christianity took over and banished / destroyed everything non-christian... including books and buildings.

Either that, or they'll finally accept my bill to turn all of the nation's undesirables into food :wizard:

Well, the best solution would be for people to not eat meat (No, I'm not a tree hugger, this is real science!). All the energy that's powering your body came from the sun. Plants, or producers, basically absorb that energy and store it. Then a cow came along, and ate the plants; the energy transferred to the cow. Then you came along, and ate the cow; the energy transferred from the cow to you.

Now, the thing is, each time it gets "transferred", about 9/10 of it gets lost to entropy. Basically, the amount of energy used to sustain one person via meat from an herbivore, could've fed 10 people if they got it directly from vegetation.

Let's take it up a notch--let's say we eat a wolf, who ate a cow, who ate vegetation. The amount of energy used to sustain a person via wolf meat, could've sustained 100 people.

We don't know much about Tali's face, but we do know she isn't a duck.  Quarians have lips and teeth, and we can see the basic shape of her face in the placeholder.
