yes, apparently I'm a troll because I suggested that some people voted to kill off tali because they disliked talimancers, but not the actual character

You're regarded as a troll by some people because of your trolling of this topic in the past.  When you develop a reputation as a troll, you can't expect to be received well by everyone, regardless of what you post, and especially when what you post is borderline inflammatory.  I'm sure you know all of this though.

As far as the poll, either vote Tali to kill her off now or ignore it.  I don't want to hear about this for the next month as we constantly fight the rest of the forum and bash other characters needlessly.
