As long as Michael Bay doesn't direct the movie maybe someone like Robert Zemeckis I like his movies more emotional than other directors. Maybe he'll go for the Talimance*see everyone getting ready to kill him*

It's well established that the general masses will take bountiful breasts over a meaningful and touching relationship any day.

If done well I would be interested in watching a ME-based movie; possibly even one involving Shepard & Co. That said, a state-of-the-art anime series either dealing with the characters we've come to know and love (or hate in some instances as the case may be), or a separate set of characters (or alternatively bit-role NPCs we've encountered,) might allow the director(s) and producer(s) far more freedom in regards to shaping and developing an arching storyline.
If an anime is up to snuff (i.e. high end industry standards) then I don't particularly care where the work originates from. "Skye Blue" looks very impressive from an anime perspective and was carried out by a South Korean company in an effort to showcase they could match Japanese anime powerhouses. I think they succeeded though Japan still seems to be the "Hollywood" of anime in global terms.

American made-animation is generally about maximizing profit more than anything else. Producers won't greenlight a project they don't see that can be milked for many seasons.
It seems to me, a lot of animes are created with a better, more art-oriented attitude behind them. It's why you see some animes which are very short, consisting of only a few episodes, and were intentionally designed to be like that. That kind of thing wouldn't fly with the typical "hollywood system"

If there is a romance, it'd likely either be Tali (biggest fanbase, without question), or Ashley (really, just cuz she's human, and let's face it - movie studios don't take risks anymore).timedrake32 wrote...

But in all honesty, if Mass Effect were to move into some visual medium, there'd likely me no LI at all, just to keep it from becoming definitive canon. They might hint at one, but I doubt they'd actually explicity develop one
