you can't use it long range, works best at mid to close range with Adreneline rush on then you can basicly get 100% accuracy.
Plus firing it in burst is very deadly. All the uber weapons have faults. Widow is deadly but does not have alot of ammo, claymore deadly but can only shoot once till you have to reload, and the Rev is deadly but you need to know how to fire it in burst to be deadly.

If I were Shepard, I'd build a "Coolant pack"
Basically, it would be like a backpack that holds like 30 thermal clips, and it has a hose attached to my weapon, with a thermally conductive liquid (water?) that gets pumped from the pack, to the weapon, and then back. It would transfer the heat from the weapon to the thermal clips on the pack.
Basically, my Revenant would be able to shoot like 2400 rounds before I have to eject all 30 thermal clips from the pack.
My God...
It's some kind of... space chaingun.
I think it's a very sound concept. Why limit yourself to the thermal capacity of a little thermal clip, when you can transfer the heat via a hose or whatever to a "big thermal clip" on your back, with far greater capacity.
Or hell, imagine this. A big ass aluminum heatsink on your back, with a large fan over it, attached to your weapon via a hose.
There is a gun the Germans used during WWI that used a very similar idea as this. It was incredibly accurate and devistating, but if that jacket that held the water was damage the gun practibally blew up from how much heat the water reduced. As well as the water would get so hot it would instantly vaporize the second you opened the thing to fill it up and greatly harm the soldiers using it, sometimes causing blindness.

Sergio invented a space-chaingun.
Beyond that... Not much.
