But I never cared about skills, I just bring Tali and whoever else I feel like bringing everywhere.

Miri is second. The best in combat is Grunt simply because he is a tank. I see him take down Harbinger, elite characters and even a Scion by him self.

I should probably start using him more then, maybe. I just get tired of what he says during combat. We get it Grunt, you're a Krogan...

yea, I doubt that. The AI isn't perfect for any squad mates.

Expect Kasumi. She has the best AI in the game, tho I think it might have to do with her powers.

On a higher difficulty I focus on skills, but other wise as soon as I get Tali the team is always:

Tali/ Garrus, Mordin, Thane, Kasumi, Zaeed, or Legion in that order.

Grunt and Miri where life savers on insainty. Grut is the offical tank in ME2.

I actually have the answer to that;

The AI has a set attitude for combat depending on what weapon they are using. Snipers tend to stick to one place and kill from mid-range. Those with a shotgun fight much more aggressively, often jumping over cover to rush enemies. The best way to make use of them is to actually give them orders, tell the sniper to hang back and he will kill from long-range, and order the one with the shotgun to attack enemies only in close-proximity or from mid-range.

The best way to use Tali is to have her Attack Drone target a specific enemy then order her to rush them. Clean kill almost every time.

but seriously, I'd be lying if I didn't say that AI can be bad in general. It's much better than ME1 though.

both Legion and Kasumi are way better than Miri imo...
for a soldier Miri is pretty good as it cover all the defences, but if you alredy have warp i generally found Tali more usefull

Not for me, in fact thats what Jack and Mordin tend to do XD.

Well everytime I use miranda or jacob they spend most of the combat inspecting the floor
Tali dies the least for me

I had Tali once and she fell more during that then Miri in my whole game. I love Tali and all but in combat she was not that good. IMHO

not really I paired up Grunt and Tali for most of the suicide mission (on Insanity) and it went perfect cause Grunt is beast against Husks and Tali"s drone is beast against that "assuming control" enemy I forgot its name
