Of course, on the other hand, my foreknowledge of the game's events will affect future playthroughs so I may end up going back and saving Mordin anyway. But the point stands.

What if it ended both romances? Bioware's specific use of consequences and repercussions seems to indicate the consequence for "cheating" will be larger than the confrontation in ME1.

I never really liked the ME1 romances so I'm personally in the clear.

BS and you know it.  Think of it this way:  Defalt Shep in ME2 has the Ash romance.  You mean to tell me that if you romance someone in ME2 (being a new player to the game and all) you get punished HARD for it in ME3?  No way, man.

That's actually not true. Default Shepard does not have a romance. He has Ashley alive, but that's just because she's the opposite gender.

Going to be interesting to see how that turns out, but I have good feelings.

What I'm happy about is how New Vegas isn't a world that's be 'destroyed' by a bomb, but one that's been abandoned and left to rot. All of that brown and gray in F3 was a right fit and logical, but got a little dull after awhile. I mean, you think after all those years some people would have gotten around to clearing out the rubble and broken furniture in their houses.

Default Shepard has no romance, left the council to die, The Rachni queen is dead, Wrex is dead, alot of side characters are dead, Garrus was never recruited and you did not give Tali that Geth file.

I hope the talks of the Flotilla did not bore you, Shepard.

Tali, you were honestly the only person I looked forward to talking to. There was a reason you were always my last stop when I went through the ship. I wanted as much time with you as I could.

I have done a default Shepard and there is no pic in the cabin.

I thought for sure...  God, why does it have to be such a pain in the ass to start a new game in ME2?

Well it was made for people who have not played the first game and gets rid of alot of connections so new players are not confused.

He's Jack Bauer in space, in BioWare's own words. What do you expect?

They did those things to get rid of references that new players wouldn't understand. They don't know who Wrex was for example. The same goes for romance, they aren't going to have default Shepards be an a romance with someone they don't even know. Like Kraidy said, default Shepards romanced no one.

Dood. . .default Shepard is a dillhole. . .

Anyway, yes some mad things are going to happen with two LI's but nothing so game-endingly bad. You might lose 'loyalty'  of the not-chosen girl or maybe that charater leaves the squad, but it would be completely aweful. When ME3 rolls out, BioWare isn't going to punish you that badly for a non-main quest related choice you amde four and two years ago respectivly.

Plus the council would not be that funny to new players as it was to the players of ME.

And that's what they get for jumping into the middle of the series.

Oh, I understand perfectly why it was done.  I'm just always struck by what a failure he is when the depths of his incompetence are enumerated.

Like I said, the use of consequences leads me to suspect it's going to more than the ME1 confrontation. Losing loyalty does not really seem to make sense.
