Oh yeah, I forgot.  We're all friends here... except for CC.  Seriously.  That guy's a jerk.  Always bringing us down with his stories and crap.

I know, right? I hear it's because he's impotent. . .

And half his posts are like, "Man, TMI..."

True that. Let's go egg his house.

The three of you were easily the most compitent and skillful crewmembers aboard the Normandy. Besides, I liked having you around.

Default Shepard has no romance, left the council to die, The Rachni queen is dead, Wrex is dead, alot of side characters are dead, Garrus was never recruited and you did not give Tali that Geth file.

Dood. . .default Shepard is a dillhole. . .

Anyway, yes some mad things are going to happen with two LI's but nothing so game-endingly bad. You might lose 'loyalty'  of the not-chosen girl or maybe that charater leaves the squad, but it would be completely aweful. When ME3 rolls out, BioWare isn't going to punish you that badly for a non-main quest related choice you amde four and two years ago respectivly.

Like I said, the use of consequences leads me to suspect it's going to more than the ME1 confrontation. Losing loyalty does not really seem to make sense.

What I want to know is, how can romancing someone before Tali logically lead to Tali not liking you anymore?  She knows about the relationship.  Everyone had to know.  We see how fast news spreads on this Normandy, and there was a 3 week period after the suicide mission in ME1.  Tali had to know about your relationship.  That didn't stop her from starting one in ME2, why would it stop her from continuing it in ME3?

A better question would be how can you convince a hurt ME1 LI to stay with you despite cheating.  That's a much harder case to make.

Also, I find the "consequences" argument weak.  Unless I'm missing something, that was one interview with a developer, from months ago, just spitballing crap about the game, and people have run with it.  Consequences itself doesn't have an inherently serious notation anyway.  Killing or saving the council had consequences in ME2.  They were just really small.  Every large decision you make has gotten marginalized to this point.  I don't see any evidence for this being different.

Also this.  Devs say all kinds of crazy crap and maybe 10% of it turns out to be true in some small way.  I'm foreseeing an ME1-style confrontation, possibly blocking off the recruitment of whoever got their walking papers.

I think it's all fear based caution. No one here wants to run the risk of losing Tali for any reason, and I can't say that I blame them.

Vakarian. We have reached consensus. That situation would have been less socially awkward if you had chosen a different metaphor.

I'd also agree that I find it more likely the consequences would be pretty one way.

Theoretically, you could make the case that Miranda, Kelly, Jacob, Thane, or Jack might not know about your previous affairs, but there's no way in hell that Tali and Garrus don't. They were there and as far as I could tell, everyone on the ship was aware of your chemistry with Liara/Ash/Kaidan. I mean, Joker practically admits as much.

I imagine it would be really difficult to win the ME1 LIs back. But the ME2 LIs (or at least Garrus and Tali) almost certainly knew what they were getting into. Not that this means there won't be repercussions and what not, but there's no reason you'd have to "win them back" or lose them.
