Female, and the best excuse she gave me was that she was taken back by Garrus' adavances or. . .something stupid and incorrect.

To be fair, she regrets her choice and will not be making it again once she starts a new playthough.

Right, screw the role-playing, I'm terrible at it. I adore Tali and all, but I can not perform her, I'm too cynical for that.

Also, Garrus' romance was also really well done.
