I never intended too, before I actually played it I was just thinking of romancing Miranda, then I found out how much of a **** she was, and thats when Tali started to shine, so I romanced her instead.

Were you originally intending to romance Tali...(assuming that you knew she was romanceable)...?

No. She seemed too young, and fit more of a "little sister" role. Also, to be honest, I didn't like her character that much in the first game. I thought her voice was a bit annoying, and didn't like the dark mask. But she was fun to bring on missions.

2 years later, my problems with the character solved themselves, and I started falling in love with her character. The rest is history.

I was originally just going to romance Miranda as well, just for the hell of it...and the achievement . But anyway, it wasn't really that I romanced Tali instead because I thought Miranda was a ****, but just because Tali was...sweet, I suppose.

Well, I can say that I found her interesting in the first game, but not in that way.

When I saw her romance on Youtube, I constantly asked Tali if she got time to talk when she was on the Normandy. She said: "I really need to clean this engine. Maybe later?"

But I got her in the end

I was,  I succumbed to the Talindoctrination:wub: at some point during ME1.  Most of my time spent anticipating ME2 was focused on Tali.  Found out that she was a romance option a few days before release, and that was one of the main things I was looking forward to in the game. 

My expectations were blown away as well

I didn't know that Tali was a romance option on my first playthrough. Not that it would have mattered much since it was a femshep anyways.

By the time I got to my second playthrough however I knew that Tali was a romance and the choice was pretty clear.
Oh and I've ended up with Tali on every playthrough since.

well always said that Tali was my fav char in me1, if she was romanceable probably i had chosen her... but in the end i'm not that much in romances and sometimes they risk to force the npc to act in some weird way just to start or carry over a romance

so yep but i didn't felt the "need" of it

To be honest, I only brought Tali with me because she had AI Hacking and high tech skills.

But I guess her Pilgrimage turned her into a adult. Kinda. And I liked what saw. She was sweet.

Miranda had no personality if you ask me, Jack just isn't my style and Liara was out, so all that's left was the only other cute alien on my team. And it was totally worth it.
