Well, I'm having fun with that quarian Lia'Vael. Pretty funny stuff if you have the right squad mates.

It's a shame Bioware dropped the ball with that one.  We could help Kenn out and give him some cash.  All we could do was help her stay outta jail?  Pathetic.

Well, she wanted to buy a ship, and as much as I like quarians, I don't think I can afford that.

It would be cool if I could give her a lift on the Normandy, though.

True, wasn't thinking of buying a ship.  Some credits though?  Just so she could get better meals?  Better place to sleep than a turian shelter?  Anything would be better than "Kid, yer on yer own."

I've been thinking about it, and I kind of feel like her situation would be commonplace for quarians.  It isn't like they bring a trust fund out on pilgrimage.  They're all going to be pretty poor, I can't see them being able to afford to stay in a hotel for a few months while they look to complete their pilgrimage.  I would imagine she was prepared for this kind of lifestyle when she left on pilgrimage.  "Kid, yer on yer own" seems like the way the quarians do things.

I really didn't get the feeling that she was sad because of her living situation, moreso that she was just reminded again about society's opinions on quarians.

What happened to that Shepard VI I got from Mouse, anyway? I would laugh my ass off if I could replace Kelly with it if she dies in the Collector base.

I think that was just supposed to be a joke unfortunately.
Would've been cool to talk to a VI of yourself.

Oh, I know! Lia'Vael said that she wants to do EVA stuff. Well, after the suicide mission, we can go to the Citadel and hire her to help us patch up the Normandy. Even if it's perfectly fine when I continue...how does that work? We had several hull breaches when we landed on the Collector base, but when we got out of there it's like nothing happened.

Shepard should give Lia'Vael a letter of recommendation.

Let's see her not get a job with one of those from Shepard

Oh agreed, quarians are looked down at by almost the entire galaxy but thats still no reason to not assist more.  Guess its just my take on paragon.

Quarians won't be looked down on anymore once humans commission them to build that Super Dreadnaught I've been talking about. B)

"Well, miss... Vael... We've looked over your resume extensively; but I'm afraid we cannot hire you."
Lia: But... why not? Did... did you see the letter of recommendation from Commander Shepard?
"Yes we did, and I'm afraid that's why we cannot hire you. We don't approve of forgery here Miss Vael, Commander Shepard is dead"
Lia: But he's not dead! He just gets that a lot!!
"Security, please escort Miss Vael out of here and notify the authorities of a possible escaped psychiatric patient"

Been thinking on that.
How do they get it repaired?  Its a cerberus vessel - outlaw by the council.  Its got a real AI - outlawed by the council.
Just where can you go to get it fixed?

Somewhere in the Terminus Systems. Maybe even Omega (it is really close).

I'm fine with helping her, I was more referring to the people who seem to think that she's worse off than every other quarian on pilgrimage.  I can't imagine its easy.  On the other hand, its the rite of passage for their culture, so maybe it shouldn't be.

I wouldn't mind being able to punish the idiots harrassing her more either

I can't believe how ignorant some people can be. Blaming the quarians for the geth attack. Like they had any control over those geth to begin with. But when the salarians almost wiped out both the krogans and the rachnni, it's OK. They even got a seat on the Council.

It won't actually be a paper letter, but a "This is commander Shepard and Lia'Vael is my favorite still-on-pilgrimage quarian on the Citadel" B)

I'm sure there are plenty of repair shops in the Terminus systems.  Who needs the council to repair your ship when you can chill with batarians :wizard::unsure:

I want it to be called the Deathstar, but I don't think others are in agreement.

The way I see it, it really is a badass name (certainly more badass than that lame "Destiny Ascension"--wtf is that?), and no one except humans (and maybe a few of the more nerdier salarians) will know where the name came from. B)

Well, I do have this scar on my forehead that I have no idea where it came from, nor does anyone in my family...
