People who hate Tali on this board hate her because they're human beings. It's human nature to oppose any group or entity you don't associate yourself with, even if you don't have anything against it.

For example, your co-workers are going on about a popular move; they're talking about how awesome it is, etc. You only felt it was  "Okay." You didn't really like it, but you didn't dislike it; you were indifferent.

Well, upon observing others rejoicing in it, you suddenly get a huge urge to say "That movie sucked." Everyone here knows that feeling, I guarantee it.

Indifference + observation of popularity = the original indifference turns to hate.
