I'm practically in the Navy....

I plan to never go into anything like the Navy/Army, etc... Know to many people who have been messed up by it. An alcoholic, someone who committed suicide, one who drank themselves to death...

more of those in the civy world then the Military world. Its just that since they are so rare in the military you here about it alot becuase of how abnormal it is.

I used to want to be in the army, but I wanted to go into Armour or Artillery. You'd have to be bloody daft ot be an infantryman

He does have that "I always liked Tali" line, but I always seemed that's just his way of saying "You know, I honestly can't think of anything negative or snide to say about her." 

Tali tunes up the normandy making it fly better, Joker flies said tuned Normandy. Of course he appreciates Tali more than others. they're both starship afficionados. plus Joker doesn't make fun of people that are generally always nice to him. That pretty much leaves just Shepard, Chakwas, and Tali. Also, he probably feels Tali is a kindered spirit to his disabled nature, in that physical obstacles make both their lives difficult.

otherwise, theyy probably wouldn't get along on a higher level. Joker is very objective and easy-going whereas Tali can be very convicted and stubborn (but that's what adds her cuteness).
