Hey guys. I need to confess something horrible.

After swearing profusely throughout my insanity+ run as a vanguard I wanted to enjoy the game again and started a new vanguard run on casual (more like "vangod"). I usually send Legion down the tube at the collector base, because you never know... but this time, of all times, I happened to pick Tali for the job.

Thanks to my maxed out vangod abilities I was tearing through collectors at incredible pace. So fast in fact that I.. I must've MISSED ONE OF THE VENTS!

So there I was at the last vent, punching the button like a madman, wondering why nothing happened. As Tali's pleas for help continued to grow more desperate, I started to realize something had gone wrong. After a few more seconds I knew there was nothing I could do anymore. The world around me went silent and everything ground to a halt as I watched the last seconds tick away on the timer...

And then... she was gone...







And then I reloaded and did things right.

It was a STUPID mistake. You ALWAYS check the vents...

Please don't hate me

tut tut tut... well I can't talk Tali got a rocket to the face on my first playthrough, i must have picked the wrong fire team leader, she was loyal... but I did reload and swore never to let anything happen to Tali EVER again.

I wish Drew Karpyshyn could write more books like ME: Ascension. That book was really good. And I know that Retribution is coming out soon, but I liked Ascension mostly because of the quarians. Before I read it, I had no clue why Tali and the other quarians were so mad about Shepard working with Cerberus.

Well I personally wouldn't let that cloud my judgement of the game, unlike some other fans who have let it cloud their judgement of ME 2 for instance. I'd prefer it if Tali and Garrus (and the other ME 2 LI's returned) but realistically speaking I'm not holding my breath.

Then I can't say I'll feel sorry for BW when they feel the wrath of thousands of Tali fans.

They can`t just push ME1 and ME2 LI`s to the side. I pressume there will be new options, but also ability to continue with old LI from previous games. Also some consequences if you were unfaithful for your ME1 LI, maybe some point where you explain that you are with another.

I am rather pessimistic about the romance in ME3.  At least from an arc stand point.  They can still make Tali just as adorable, and the ending will probably be good enough.  I do really fear a reset back to the beginning of ME2's arc though.  Where you just talk to her 3 times while she likes you, and then a sex scene.

I really hope they go all out on the romances, making each one different with its own unique arc, it would be smart from a business perspective at least, but not sure if they will.

I think that the ending to ME3 will be a depressing one or at least one that involves sacrificing a member of the crew or sacrificing yourself to save the galaxy, we know what Bioware is like, personally I don't thein k they are bothered whether their fans will hate the outcome, game development is a dictatorship after all, they will do what THEY want.
Its a sad truth I know, and I hope that the LI thing does remain through the 3rd game and end well but the chances of that hapening in a Bioware game are slim. lets hope I am proved wrong.

There is probably room for "happy ending"  for Shepard, but it involves doing something evil.

Well I'm actually not worried at all about the characters returning.  They don't have the time to develop a new team in ME3, and they can do that without any effort by bringing back the old squad.

I'm sure the characters will stay the same for the most part, I just hope they put a little effort in when their should be a change, like Tali's feelings for you if you romaned her, or Jack's change if you romanced her.

I just hope ME2 LI`s don`t recive some insulting cameo role in ME3, like what happened to ME1 LI`s in ME2. They really should have a big role in ME3.
