Where do you go from here?  Hell, back up to the captains quarters of course!

How can she start off madly in love with you if there is a chance you didn't romance her? Are the LI going to have 2 separate dialogues depending on that fact? Or will the conversations just end like with Garrus, know what I mean?

She kind of has to doesn't she?  It will be a pathetically lazy move by Bioware if all LI's act the same whether you romanced them or not.  Jack particularly comes to mind here.

I assume Bioware knew what they were getting themselves into and all, and I hope they're prepared to do each individual romance justice.

Very true, Shepard isn't exactly a model of intelligence when it comes to relationships :pinched:

Although it was pretty clear to me at least that getting out of her suit was very important to Tali.  If she got to the point where she was ok with taking the risk, I'm not going to stop her

I've thought about the relationship in ME3, not really sure where it can go though.  She will basically have to start out madly in love with you, and where do you go from there?  I'm actually a little worried about the romance arc in ME3. :?

Where do you go from here?  Hell, back up to the captains quarters of course!

Yeah, but, building Tali a better immune system through repetitive exposure, while fun, isn't much of a romance arc.

Actually, screw romance arc, I'll take that

Actually the next step is to reclaim Rannoch and declare that you want to spend the rest of your life with her.

NEEDS TO HAPPEN BIOWARE

Also piggy back rides through the Normandy.Image IPB Just saying.

I actually don't believe that Tali removed her suit.  Just the sensory overload of Shepards hands touching her face, his lips on hers and his arms around him could be more that enough for a first time.

They had sex.  That was the whole purpose of the talk with Mordin about erogenous zones and comfortable positions.  It could have been enough maybe, but if there is no extra significant risk from taking off the rest of her suit, than why stop there?

So you don't think Jack and Shepard did it and you don't think Miranda and Shepard did it, I reckon?

Cuz it's heavily implied that every romance scene ended in intercourse, but we just talked about this on the previous pages.

Think about it, though. This is the only game where you can continue a previous romance with that partner also a recruitable.

It's gunna be bromance all over again until the climax. How can you explain how Tali can be in love with you in one instance and you can be a complete bigot to her in another. I know it's based on renegade paragon actions, but a renegade bigot who chooses a paragon option in Tali's conversation shouldn't get a loving, warming response from her, even if he's being nice now.

That's the obvious ending to the romance arc (Rannoch and declaration of love,) I certainly hope we get that far.  And I'll be very disappointed if we don't.

I wouldn't mind some kind of display of affection on the Normandy either, although I find that a little less likely.

Assuming you have played DA:O, so you should know that BW already proved themself that they can change the way of the conversations if a character is in love with your player-character.

We have like 2 discussions going on at once.

If someone brings the sex thing up, it's not gunna simply be ignored, that's rude, so we can only give the shortest, most conclusive response possible so as to move on to the topic we're already on :wizard:

Well thats a little different.  That I expect to be like ME1 to ME2.  Where you could be a complete jerk to Tali in ME1, and she still liked you in ME2.  I expect that inconsistency to return in ME3, but that doesn't mean a romanced Tali can't be different.

I would expect two versions of each character, a romanced version, and a non-romanced one.  That way Tali is either openly in love with you, or she goes back to how she was to start ME2, regardless of your paragon/renegade actions in ME2.  I'm fine with that, even if it is slightly inconsistent.

Also, not really sure what you mean about the rest, Tali wouldn't like renegades?  I don't think her opinion of you would change that much based on how you act to others.  If your always there for her, thats all that matters.

DA:O's dialogue system was like 180 degrees different from Mass Effect's. I would love it to be like DA:O, only with a VA for the protagonist. This "paragon response = sex" thing needs to go. I think I might try going completely neutral and see what happens.

Couldn't give a rats arse less if they did it.  This is about Tali.  A young women who has not have a single external touch in her life since birth.

But there has never been "two versions of each character". You either bromance until you start the romance and then get more content, OR you bromance until you choose NOT to romance and then you're at a dead end.

I'd love what you're describing, obviously, just thinking practically.

Just because there's never been doesn't mean there never should be.  Bioware knows they have an opportunity to push the envelope here.  Take an already strong relationship, and take it even farther.  If they cop out and just redo the ME2 romance, they're doing themselves, and their fans a disservice, and I assume they know as much.

Its true that they could screw this up, but until we get closer to knowing, I'll stay on the optimism side of the fence.
