Second thought. I think I'll wait with the PC version until all three games are out.

I am tempted about the graphics details and all those funny gifs, but I think I'll stick to the xbox version for now.

 I really wish in ME3 they let you talk to your squad mates on missions at will. I missed that a lot in ME2.

I don't care if they only had like three lines per area, it just made it feel more... 'immersive' to be able to hear them talk wherever I wanted. I found myself in ME2 giving them orders to move, even while not in combat, just to hear my squad mates say something.

You got ME1 for Steam? I've been all over this stupid internet looking for a way to fix my version for Windows 7. I downloaded all the patches and BDtS free DLC and it either says it's missing the ME.exe or it simply encountered a problem and needs to close after the splash. I redownloaded it 4 times.

They say you need Windows Vista SP3 to run it but I don't even think that exists.

Haha, you're going to love me. I know exactly the solution you're looking for.

Close Steam, and run it as administrator. ME1 will then work (You can even set Steam so that it'll always run as admin by going into its properties).

Um... Delete clientregistry.blob?:P (It's like the hot glue of steam; It fixes most everything!)

I've done that. Closed Steam, Right click the ME.exe in Binary folder and hit Run as Admin. Steam pops up, game crashes. I have Steam set to run as Admin, too, with Windows XP SP2. When I switch the Service Pack (for instance, Vista SP2) it stops saying I'm missing the .exe file and instead says it simply ran into a problem and needs to close.

Bummer, dude.

*Tali's placeholder disappears again*

That's it! I can't take that anymore. First thing tomorrow, I'll buy ME1 & 2, and probably Kasumi DLC Pack and all that stuff.

Dropping by to show off my new drawing to those who have yet to see it. Steam-punk Tali and Chikktika. Drew this for Jake. Enjoy.

I have both games on the Xbox 360, but it sure knows what buttons to press to make me mad.

I've found that ME1 often doesn't get it's registry key created with steam, it's the one you need for the DLC installers to find it. I just add it to the registry when I move steam around. Obviously it needs to point to your steam folder :P

The 1.02 patch should already be applied to steam, BDtS and PS should install to the folder with steam (it will still validate in steam, just ignores the new files). Currently running ME1 fine on Win 7 x64 with ATI card.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\BioWare\\Mass Effect]
"Path"="D:\\\\Games\\\\Steam\\\\SteamApps\\\\Common\\\\Mass Effect"
"Flavour"="Steam"

Trying to make it purple, but since it's steampunk have it also look glassy... Finding it difficult to pull off the glassy look... Either things get horribly blurred, or horribly pixelated :crying:

Just do the best as you can. Leave it purple. Or do what I did with the googles just add those little circles.

I don't know why, but I'm looking at this picture, and she seems even more beautiful than I remember.
