True, sometimes it's overbearing, but selective reading has done me wonders. I can't read a book anymore due to lack of attention span, but I can hold a conversation in blogging :P If it get's too bad, I can just come back later (those that don't have the luxury, I see your frustration, maybe). but really, if you got 2 people on one thread talking in a heated discussion, I don't think anything can distract them from any replies they get concerning.

Now, I will sit back and catch up on this damn thread a little.
Ahh yes, a shortfic. So many reasons to come here :wub:

The speed of the thread is not my main complaint. My main complaint is how the thread consistently devolves into something primitive. I am also able to selectively thread but I cannot selectively view images. I am most able to have a nice discussion when most people are asleep.

Aww cmon man that's a moderators job, I can't police Jake and random trolls that have no allegience to any character it seems. Some images make me want to vomit but man I've seen some sick sh!t on the internet and in real life too. Let's you know how little humanity there is in this world. Dealing with moronic people and some of the more intelligent posters has been mind-boggling, but to quote one of my favorite characters:

"Those who are not constantly challenged, become weak."
I know...poor Quarians :crying: Tali's strong though :innocent::wub:

Quick question, are you or were you ever home-schooled?

I see where you are going with this, but I'll leave at this: no.

Anyone who can come up with a Xbox name without using numbers is okay in my book.

Ouch, sucks to be you.

Cant' wait for the Locust, sounds like it has a suppresor, will go great with my Spec. Ops Infiltrator style character.

Also hungering for this.

All they need now is to come out with some head gear that acts like a hood...

A hooded Shepard, Kasumi, and Tali. Assassin's Creed's got nothing on that.

Okay, everyone is rambling about the aftermath. Let's actually try and start an on-topic discussion, I will start with a daring topic;

What do you think will happen if you start a game of Mass Effect 3 with Tali killed? How will the game play? What sort of impact will it have on the story?

And no saying crap like; I will never let Tali die! The point of the discussion is to share ideas, not dismiss them.

Well first of all, I will never let Tali die, so the discussion is pointless to me :whistle:

That said, I don't think it will change anything.  You will go to the Tali related side quest (reclaiming their homeworld,) and another quarian will most likely act as a proxy in Tali's role of leading you around the flotilla and explaining things.

The quarians may be bigger jerks to you a la Wrex/Reave, but it won't make the mission impossible or anything.

Well, if Rael weren't dead I'd say there'd be hell to pay, first. Remember that e-mail he sent you? A thinly veiled warning that you had better protect his daughter or else, is the way I interpreted it.

But since he's dead, I'd say not much, exactly, would change, except that maybe your relationship with the Migrant Fleet might become more tense, making it a bit trickier to enlist their help against the Reapers.

I'm not a big fan of this topic, as I don't expect to ever play ME3 without her.

I assume the game play won't change a whole lot, you'll just not have her as a squad member. When you negotiate with the Quarians/Geth or whatever, you'll probably get a lot less dialog.

This.  I'm positive there's going to be a Quarian/Geth conflict of some sort, likely involving Admiral Xen.  The presence or lack of Tali is likely just going to change the dialogue.

Though, it would be cool if there were like a sliding scale of support from each faction against the Reapers and the only way to get the highest amount of support was to bring the associated character.

Well done! 19 pages in and we have begun a discussion, I'm so proud of you guys.

But my thoughts; The quarian/geth conflict will lose about half of the personal connection, making it much harder to negotiate with the quarians, seeing as how you are responsible for the death of one of their heroines.

Of course you personally cannot police them, they will continue ruining the thread for some sick pleasure or something. I am pretty desensitized to just about anything that would churn the blood of the average person, but I am just very disappointed to see it in this thread when we are perfectly able not to. This is not 4chan, I am not supposed to expect it in here.

Some more non-all-covering headgear would not be rejected.

Altair is riding Garret's coat-tails, though.

It's a really large collection of Tali pictures that got posted on the 5000 page.

It eats out of date computers like mine for breakfast :crying:

I'm starting to get apprehensive of this thing.

Speaking of quarian heroines, it's always been my theory that Tali is basically the Shepard of the quarian race.

Who replaces her? You need a Quarian crewmate, how could you have a playthrough with no Quarian? If Garrus is dead do you not have a Turian? Grunt dead you dont get Wrex or any krogan? Seems a boring-ass playthrough :unsure:

I would like to adopt a Quarian like that one on Omega. Make him my protege. Name him Junior....
