And it wasn't genocide from the quarian point of view. It was disabling some dangerously self-aware machines.  Machines they built not to be sentient but to be servants.  They thought they knew what the geth were and they were wrong.  And they paid far too large a price for that mistake.

The geth could've easily fought the Quarians to surrender and then had that great discussion that they were supposed ot have. But they didn't, they wiped out the nearly the entire Quarian people

Justify that

How do you know the Geth did not try to talk? The Quarians caused the whole mess! You can not justify what the Quarians did, the Geth ahd to protect themself. Thats the crux of the matter, we have heard both the war from Legion and Tali and they are similar and from both you can see it was the Quarians fault, not the Geth. The Geth did not ask to be made, did not ask to be attacked.

My topic still stands, if there is no choice for peace and you have to pick a side, would you realy pick the Quarians, knowing that they caused the whole mess, and that even with the option for peavem they won't take it? Thats what I was getting and if I have to choose I would pick the Geth.

Would you condemn a species to extinction because of the sins of their fathers, while the Geth not only defeated the Quarians who came to destroy them, but brutally murdered billions of non-combatants?

Defending yourself against genocide does not justify genocide.

It's not that we don't enjoy the conversation, it's when people start going "YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME" or calling others psycopaths.

Making an argument personal is simply a tactic.  And people were not yelling for the discussion to end because of personal attacks.  They were calling for "peace" and whatnot.

Thats what I was getting and if I have to choose I would pick the Geth.

My argument stands that the mistake was unwitting, understandable, and the price was many millions of times too high.
I really want peace between the quarians and geth.  But if there isn't a choice for peace, I would stand by the quarians without hesitation. 
The tides of the thread are turning...I'm about done with this argument, as it seems to be getting us nowhere.
