More of a head-up. The Liara files are named similar to the Kasumi files that we discovered pre-Kasumi DLC. Both of them have DLC in their files. Apparently we take down the Shadow Broker or at least confront the organization somehow. If we do the former, I would wonder at Liara's justification for not joining Shepard thereafter, because I doubt she will become a squad mate this way. Especially in light of Bioware's comment that Liara and Ashley/Kaidan were sidelined specifically in order to survive ME2.

She's nuts! She'll probably just assume the identity of the Shadow Broker after she enlists Shepard's help.

The rumor has gotten worse because it says at the end of the comic "play ME2 to continue the story" this can mean two things

-play ME2 to find out what happen to Shepard
-to help Liara defeat the SB.

See, I gave that data to the Shadow Broker in ME1.

Well in the comic, we only see one person. So it's either one person or it's an AI. It also can't be human because the SB was in power before humans even made first contact.

It seems strange to say play ME2 to learn what happens when ME2 came out about 3 months beforehand. I am hoping for some new content, but I won't bet on it.

It's possible that the DLC would not be triggered in-game until after you help Liara with Nyxeris. It could add some much needed closure for the players and especially the Liara fans. I'm pretty curious, too.

If so, I'll be missing out in my canon playthrough pre-ME3. I didn't help Liara hack the security systems. And how she threatens to kill all 5 suspects if she doesn't find the culprit unsettles me.

Hmm...still concerned for the fate of my favorite characters, though. Want to see them in ME3 and want them to matter. Cameo appearances and I will cut someone.

Thats why people think it is Liara DLC. If the comic would have came out before ME2 and it said that, then no one would have thought it ment DLC, but ME2 has been out for awhile and fans of ME most likely read the comic, so seeing that gives them hope for more Liara.

I agree, cameos for Tali and Garrus would suck and I'd consider not buying the game. The Reapers are very boring as enemies.

What I envision for ME3 is that certain plotlines are flavored depending on who is alive. Tali and Legion would influence the Quarian-Geth plot. Garrus may have something to do with mercenaries. At least the very least, we should get something like ME1 where squad mates comment on a few things during missions but have full fledged conversations and romances on the Normandy.

Most likely an expansion. SB is too importent to be a 1 to 2 hour DLC. SB is one of the biggest intrest in the ME universe.
