I think its more that Tali has no advanced knowledge of genetics or science in general.  She had a military upbringing.  She likely only has a high school level knowledge of science.  The situation in general is a mystery to quarians as well.  They have no idea how their immune systems will respond to this as its happening.

i think she actually have a good knowledge of science (not genetics ofc :P) as is leading the scientific expedition to study the dying sun... still a think is something that quarians generally know, to reclaim their homeworld is an hot topic for them and i bet there are a lot of debates and simulations about the war and recolonization of their homeworld

so yup she will not know these info because of her studies but i'm inclined to think that quarian scientists studied this topic a lot and info are public

Whether she has the knowledge or not, I don't think Haestrom is a good indicator.  They were going to get info, for scientists to study it.  Tali was never going to be the one breaking down the data.  She was leading a strike team, it was her and a bunch of Kal'Reegers.

And I'm sure the info is made available, I just think it would be a lot like advanced science today.  Sure you can go out and learn about it on your own, but if your focus from childhood is on another proffession, you probably won't be qualified to give a solid opinion on the subject.

And I'm sure they focus on it a lot as a race, but I still doubt that they could come to a definitive conclusion about how long it would take, and the information is only diluted farther as it trickles down from the top to others.

I'm sure Tali has a good knowledge of science as it applies to technology.  That's what technology is: the application of science.  However, I do agree that biology is not Tali's purview.

Someone pointed out a while back that the turian councillor must have learned air quotes specifically to troll humans.

He knew Shepard would be back someday. The two years you spent dead, he was training himself in the mighty arts of air quotes and dismissing claims.

Reaper? A lable created by the Protheans to give voice to their destruction. In the end, what they choose to call us is irrelevant. We simply...are.

I still think the slam Kasumi gave you for the Miranda relationship was hilarious.

I'm also still stunned that I never saw a RAGE over it

I've come to the conclusion that Miranda fans just laugh and fist-bump over how someone else noticed they were sticking it to Tali like that.

I'm kinda joking, but actually it seemed like every fanbase took what Kasumi said as "being on their side."

They're just delusional and jealous over the poll-ruining powah of this fully armed and operational Talimancer thread.

If this particular reaper were to ever meet the Turian Councillor, they could probably just dismiss the universe out of existence.

The council is all politics.  Its a scum bag move sure, but the quarians after the geth uprising are 20 million max.  They're useless to the galaxy, and are a detriment to everyone else when you look at how they deplete resources and contribute nothing.  Its not surprising they were cast aside, and opressed.

What would the motivation be for helping them?  Kindness of the council's heart?  Not happening in the real world

I see them at least pitching in some help in ME3. Far from useless.

Sure, we know that.  What does a potential ally against a make believe race of killer sentient machines mean to the council though?

I don't mean the quarians are useless, that's just the galaxy's perspective.

Most of the Councils are scum, we can agree on that, but Council should learn that putting a problem aside doesn`t solve it. Quarians still have the largest Fleet in the Galaxy, that is something.

in me2 they look quite stupid, in me1 i liked them more :P
but we dont know the reasons why the council decided to not help the quarians in their war, in the end the council have to do the interests of all the species in their space...

maybe they tought quarians where going to win it easilly, maybe they tought that helping them was too dangerous because it had exposed their space to an eventual "invasion" from terminus and so on... we dont really know what happened, we just know that quarians started the war, lost it and where exiled.

also is not that clear if the council rule about AI was implemented before or after the geth revolt... there is a dialogue that says the law was introduced because geth revolt, but a conversation with Tali also imply that such rules where alredy in places and quarians, to circumvent them, developed geths to have limited AI only if they where linked togather

Tali deserves nothing less than a Savant omnitool.  I always give her the one I get off of the BDTS engineer guy at the end.

To even think that Miranda has a interesting personality is beyond me.

Niket is the only close friend I ever had.

I can't possibly imagine why...Image IPB

She's just depressing.

Tali on the other hand, is awesome on so many levels.

hnnnnng, again with the Miranda hate?  Why can't we get past that? :(

I think she's interesting enough, I just can't quite forgive her for doing Shep in the engine room when she has a nice comfy bed in her quarters.

That's the problem. I've never been out on the town with Tali. We need a DLC for that. NOW.

I wish they would have given Tali a witty response to that advertisement.  Missed a golden opportunity there Bioware!
