The rest I don't particularly care about.  The game and plot will be good enough that I won't regret buying it.

I'm gunna find out if she'sin ME3 of course. And that she's a recruitable..and LI. After that, why spoil anything? Not knowing Jack was a woman would have made Purgatory significantly more epic.

And Bioware will tease us with Tali in the trailers and I will be thinking of nothing but her taking off her visor the entire game. I'd rather just know she's a recruitable and go walking in with blind optimism.

Well personally, the only thing that I really care about going into ME3 is Tali.  I know everything else is going to be average enough.  If ME2 was the last game of the trilogy, and Liara and Tali were switched, I wouldn't have enjoyed ME2.  It would have been a waste of money to me.  It sounds fanboyish, but I'm just not impressed with anything in the game besides the characters.  If they destroy my favorite character, I would just prefer to spend my money on a different game, and live in my own pretend Tali world.

I will try to avoid most spoilers (not knowing Garrus was Archangel was the big one for ME2,) but I would rather know whether I should save my money or not.

You got a point there, something like that happened to me, i was waiting for ME2 to come out, but started playing Dragon Age, after beating the game my interest in ME2 dissipated, i saw some trailers introducing the new chars but i was like "Oh nice..." It wasn't until i saw the Tali trailer when my interest for ME2 started rising again and reminded myself of how good ME1 was.

So i remember that when i found out Archangel was Garrus suddenly i had a big smile on my face, and i got that feeling of having someone you trust around in dark times...

But i was like, where are you Tali?... (Because if Ashley is alive, shes like "Oh commander i would have followed you to hell itself", but then later she is like "Oh youre with Cerberus i don't know who you are anymore pfft after all they went through", and then Liara who is obssesed with the Shadow Broker and asks you to do her dirty work, the inocent girl in ME1 started to be more like her mom)

But Tali from the very beginning wanted to join you (Even whe she's confused because youre with Cerberus, and because you were dead), later in the mission to recruit her she comments in the logs "How she wishes you were there", and the later again "That she regretted not going with you in Freedom's Progress" (Even when she did not go because she was in charge of some Flotilla stuff)...

That was pure gold for me, and i was suddenly feeling like i could accomplish anything and do the impossible as long as they were by my side, and go beyond my limits for their safety.

So i expect to be have Tali and Garrus in ME3 by my side once again, to stand together for the last time against the impossible.

Otherwise i would be very dissapointed...

I just find default Shep creepy looking, especially that smile of his. And I dont like Mark Vanderloo either.

For paragon, I use default. For my renegade sheppy, I use a custom, evil looking shep with light brown hair, a long face, and higher cheek bones.

The smile is more the fault of the animators than anything else I think.

Hmm, the DLC in the file name is something that I wasn't aware of.  That's the only thing I took away from that article.  The rest seems to just be the same speculation that we're making here. 

I just don't see such a huge plot point like that being resolved in a DLC pack that most people will probably not get to see (assuming you have to pay.)  That's what ME3 is for.

 they also said that it might come in form of an expanshion..... that might be how they get liara and ash/kaiden back on the Normandy...

From what has been said I think there will be one (at least) major expansion and a few more mission packs and stuff. So this being there does stop anything else.
Plus like FO3 if you didn't get the DLC you missed alot too. Like a better ending.

Then just do mostly renegade.  Kill all the mercs and other assorted idiots, but you can still be nice to your crew and help people like the salarians on Thane's mission.  No where does it state that renegade can't be nice to good people

And technically, letting the salarians die isn't even renegade I believe.  You just don't get points.
