Only 5 when you count that he didn't age for 2 years.  Plus, I don't really consider 7/5 years too much when both people are adults, and have been through as much as they have.

Ages are relative. If Shepard was like, 20 and Tali 13, yeah that'd be a bit much.

But once you get into the 20s, 7 years isn't much of a big deal. The percentage of the gap between their ages will only get smaller as time goes by.

Uhmm.... Can the Cain cleave a half-asteroid spaceship many times the Normandy's size in two salvos?


C'mon... Jets of molten metal at relativistic speeds.  No conventional mass accelerator launching mere slugs can match that.  It's like a weaponized pressure washer.

My mom and dad are 8 years apart. If he was 24 and she was 16...yeah that'd be different, but they married when she was 30 and he was 38.

I still dk if it woulda been awkward romancing Tali during her Pilgrimage. I'd have too much respect for her to try anything

Yeah, that's why he's effectively only 5 years older now. But he was born 31 years ago, thus he's technically 7 years older. 

But yeah, it's just semantics at this point.
