Not half assed. This scenario is very possible and while its not as dramatic as other scenarios its still possible and someone doesnt have to romance her for her to get sick of moving around and eventually moving away. She may move away just so Shep will see she is serious and may decide to settle down in order to get her back, but either way its still possible.

She's a quarian. Her whole life is moving around. And yes, it is half-assed. She's not going to hit it and quit it with Shepard. Who she waited more than two years for.
