I AM TALIMANCER! Not duck, talimancer lol. How could you make Tali hurt cannedcream? WHY!? Good stories, though!

How about you about to kill Harbinger then he comes in to attack you, thus taking the glory for himself.

I never got to play it on PC, I played Theif of Shadows on the original XBox. Worth it. I'm a sucker for stealth games, like Thief and Splinter Cell, probably why I feel so at home as an Infiltrator.

I really don't think there should be any replacements for anyone. By doing that, it would make their deaths much less dramatic, and leave even less of an impression.Goat_Shepard wrote...

It will likely effect the Geth and Quarian story, to what extent I am not sure. This is due in part to the fact that you will almost certainly be able to play as a new Shepard in ME3, there is a possibility for some characters to be dead so allusions to ME2 will not be as frequent for the new player who would not understand them - just as they did with Wrex, the Rachni Queen, and the council. Tali's death may affect the possibility of recruiting the Quarians to your cause, although I am doubtful. Most likely, another NPC will replace her as the figurehead of the Quarians if that is her role in ME3.Azint wrote...
Okay, everyone is rambling about the aftermath. Let's actually try and start an on-topic discussion, I will start with a daring topic;
What do you think will happen if you start a game of Mass Effect 3 with Tali killed? How will the game play? What sort of impact will it have on the story?
And no saying crap like; I will never let Tali die! The point of the discussion is to share ideas, not dismiss them.
Interesting. What other NPC? Kal'Reegar can die, otherwise he'd be perfect for a...erm....replacement *gulp* if the unthinkable should happen.

Tali didn't really seem like a heroine during her trial. At least half of the crowd was just fine with declaring her a traitor with no evidence. She also would have died a hero (if it was possible for her to be killed.) It isn't like Shepard killed her randomly.
And as much as I like Tali, she really isn't hugely important to the quarians reclaiming the homeworld. Shepard and Legion are the key people. Legion is the portal into the geth viewpoint, and Shepard can converse with/boss around the admirals without Tali. Tali didn't really add much during her trial.
It really is upsetting how much Tali gets used, lied to, manipulated, and looked down upon.
She's an incredibly sweet, kind, and optimistic girl who only wants what's best for everyone around her. She can't help the family and race she was born into, yet she's constantly being punished for it.
Gah! Why is it that Shepard is the only person that understands how amazing she is?

You know how there's been like a million articles and documentaries in regards to 9-11? Within the ME universe, the Citadel getting attacked would be like a hundred times bigger news than that even.
Since Shepard and his crew played such a major role (hell, Shepard is referred to as the Hero of the Battle of the Citadel) would be in all these news articles and documentaries and all that. Tali would be mentioned in all of these things.
Hell, I bet she has her own in-depth page in Space-Wikipedia.

Welcome aboard, everyone has their moment when they realize that they are a talimancer. Mine was when I finished the suicide mission and Tali hauled my sorry arse onto the normandy after I had just saved her.
I just sat there staring at the screen.

I personally believe it is very possible for Tali to sway the Admiralty Board in favor of peace should she provide testament to Shepard and Legion's activities against the Heretic Geth. Shepard and obviously Legion are outsiders. If Tali is exonerated, she may help the effort in the Quarians realizing that peace is an option.Phil725 wrote...

Invoking metagaming knowledge though, would Bioware really make it impossible to convince the admirals without Tali? We would most likely just get a persuasion check or something.
Shepard should have enough weight at this point to convince the admirals of whatever. They may be outsiders, but they are very familiar to the quarians for outsiders. If they could provide a way for the quarians to reclaim their homeworld, I can't see them denying it because Shep isn't a quarian.
I agree that Tali would make the process go smoother, but I can't see its success hanging on whether she's there or not.

The replacements are likely to be the remaining ME1 survivors (minus Wrex, of course, since he isn't necessarily alive).RiptideX1090 wrote...
I HIGHLY doubt there will be "replacments" for dead Team mates. If they die, they die, end of story. Otherwise they'd have to voice entirely NEW characters, and you'd be essentially choosing who to let die in 2 to get a new squadmate in 3.
